Körperliche Fitness und Wellness standen im Mittelpunkt des dritten Quartals des Global Wellness Programms 2019. Spotlight hat einige Fitnesstipps und Beispiele für sportliche Initiativen an verschiedenen Standorten zusammengestellt.
Ob Laufen, Schwimmen oder Fußball: Nach Angaben des US-Gesundheitsministeriums und des britischen National Health Service können bereits 150 Minuten moderate Bewegung (oder 75 Minuten intensive Bewegung) pro Woche kombiniert mit Kraftübungen (zweimal pro Woche) das Risiko vieler schwerwiegender Erkrankungen erheblich senken. Bewegung stimuliert außerdem nachweislich das Gehirn: Die Stimmung wird verbessert und erholsamer Schlaf gefördert. Sportliche Betätigung ist zudem eine ideale Gelegenheit, neue Menschen kennenzulernen oder Zeit mit Freunden und Kollegen zu verbringen.

Die Menschen verbringen heutzutage viel mehr Zeit als noch vor einigen Jahren im Sitzen. Daher ist es umso wichtiger, sich regelmäßig zu bewegen. Das können während des Arbeitstages schon einfache Dinge sein: zum Beispiel jede Stunde eine kleine Bewegungspause von ein oder zwei Minuten einzulegen oder darauf zu achten, nicht mehr als eine Stunde am Stück zu sitzen. Selbst das Benutzen der Treppe anstatt des Aufzugs wirkt sich positiv auf die Gesundheit aus.
Im Rahmen des globalen Wellness-Programms hat Dentsply Sirona das Capital BlueCross-Fitnessprogramm „Swim, Stride and Spin“ (engl. für Schwimmen, Laufen, Radfahren) als möglichen Leitfaden vorgeschlagen. Zusätzlich zum „Swim, Stride and Spin“-Fitnessprogramm beteiligten sich Kollegen auf der ganzen Welt mit eigenen lokalen Initiativen. Hier sind einige Beispiele.
Tischtennis und Fußball in Brasilien
Um die Gesundheit und somit die Lebensqualität zu verbessern, nahmen die brasilianischen Kollegen 2019 an einer Reihe von Wettbewerben teil, die nicht nur die Bewegung, sondern auch einen gesunden Lebensstil fördern. Die Mitarbeiter beteiligten sich zum Beispiel an Tischtennis- und Fußballturnieren.
Diese Spiele werden in Zusammenarbeit mit SESI – Serviço Social da Indústria (Soziale Dienste der Industrie) durchgeführt. Rund 30 Unternehmen aus der Region nehmen daran teil. Dentsply Sirona war 2018 der Champion, und dieses Jahr stehen wir kurz davor, erneut Meister zu werden. Die Gesundheit unserer Mitarbeiter hat oberste Priorität!
Teamgeist pur beim Cricket in Indien
Cricket ist Volkssport in Indien. Das Spiel eignet sich hervorragend, um Sportsgeist und Teamwork zu trainieren und zu fördern. Mitarbeiter von Dentsply Sirona Indien beschlossen daher, sich jeden Samstag zum Cricket-spielen zu treffen. Daraus entwickelten sich bald regelmäßige Wettkämpfe mit anderen Firmenmannschaften, in denen das Dentsply Sirona Team sehr erfolgreich ist. Dieser Erfolg wirkte sich auch positiv auf den Teamzusammenhalt im Büro aus. Das Engagement der Mitarbeiter für Fitness und Teamgeist am Standort ist beeindruckend. Viel Glück für alle zukünftigen Spiele der Mannschaft.
„Runmageddon“ in Warschau
Marta Jakubowska, Katarzyna Baranowska, Justyna Strug und Wojciech Niebudek von Dentsply Sirona Polen nahmen am 14. September am „Runmageddon“-Nachtlauf in Warschau teil. Der Name ist bei diesem sportlichen Event Programm: Auf einer anspruchsvollen Strecke müssen die Teilnehmer bei diesem Langstreckenlauf eine Reihe herausfordernder Hindernisse überwinden. „Runmageddon“ ist in Polen sehr bekannt und findet in den Medien große Beachtung. Der Facebook-Beitrag des Teams von Dentsply Sirona Polen wurde auch von der Initiative „Wild Run Polen“ zur Kenntnis genommen, die das Team bereits zur Teilnahme am nächsten Lauf eingeladen hat.
