Offene Türen und gelebte Vielfalt
Zur Nacht der Ausbildung und zum Girls' Day konnten interessierte Jugendliche den Standort kennenlernen. Beim Diversity-Tag stand der Fußball im Mittelpunkt.
Erste Nacht der Ausbildung
250 Besucher und viele interessierte Fragen: Der Standort Bensheim hat zum ersten Mal an der Nacht der Ausbildung teilgenommen. Schülerinnen und Schüler aus der Region konnten sich im Rahmen der Veranstaltung darüber informieren, welche Ausbildungsberufe und dualen Studiengänge Dentsply Sirona in Bensheim anbietet. Die interessierten Jugendlichen und ihre Eltern erhielten praxisnahe Einblicke in die Ausbildungs- und Arbeitswelt. Auszubildende und Mitarbeiter der einzelnen Fachbereiche stellten an mehreren Stationen Prozesse und Ausbildungsinhalte unterschiedlicher Berufsfelder vor. So demonstrierte das Team des Logistik-Centers beispielsweise die Bedeutung von IT-basierten Tools wie Barcode-Lesern und Handschuhscannern im Arbeitsalltag von Logistik-Fachkräften. Fragen zu Theorie- und Praxisinhalten eines Dualen Studiums beantworteten DHBW-Studierende mehrerer Fachrichtungen. So erhielten die Besucher Informationen aus erster Hand.
Girls' Day am Standort Bensheim
Zum Girls' Day 2018 bei Dentsply Sirona in Bensheim konnten Schülerinnen für einen Tag ihr Klassenzimmer gegen einen Blick hinter die Kulissen des Unternehmens tauschen. Ob Mechatronikerin, Industrie- oder Zerspanungsmechanikerin oder Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik – rund 40 Schülerinnen im Alter zwischen 10 und 15 Jahren nutzten die Gelegenheit, technische Berufe mit spannenden Perspektiven kennenzulernen. 20 Auszubildende und dual Studierende gaben den Mädchen einen Einblick in ihren Arbeits- und Ausbildungsalltag – so konnten sich die Schülerinnen aus erster Hand über Ausbildungsberufe und die Möglichkeiten für ein Duales Studium bei Dentsply Sirona informieren. Die jungen Besucherinnen konnten außerdem selbst ausprobieren, wie viel Geschick es braucht, um unter Anleitung eine Restauration mit CEREC zu schleifen oder einen Elektromotor zu bauen.
Vielfalt und vielfältige Chancen
Der Diversity-Tag am 5. Juni stand in diesem Jahr in Bensheim ganz im Zeichen der Fußball-WM. Denn Fußball verbindet wie kaum ein zweiter Sport Menschen über kulturelle oder nationale Grenzen hinweg. Bei einem Tipp-Spiel zur WM konnten sich die Teilnehmer auf das sportliche Großereignis einstimmen. In einem Fotowettbewerb wurde der schönste Schnappschuss im Fußball-Trikot gesucht – und als Hauptgewinn lockten in einer Verlosung Eintrittskarten für ein Spiel von Eintracht Frankfurt. Torwandschießen und Tischkicker boten Abwechslung in der Mittagspause. Aktuell sind in Bensheim Mitarbeiter aus fast 40 Nationen beschäftigt. Im Zuge der Neuorganisation ist der Standort noch einmal ein Stück vielfältiger geworden. Rund 110 Patinnen und Paten unterstützen die „Neu-Bensheimer“ dabei, ihren Platz am Standort schnell zu finden. „Ich freue mich über die wachsende Diversität in Bensheim und viele neue Talente und Ideen“, so Geschäftsführer Michael Geil.
