Keine Angst vor Implantaten: Mentorship-Programm schließt Lücke in der implantologischen Fortbildung.
Mit einem neuen Mentorship-Programm unterstützt Dentsply Sirona Zahnärztinnen und Zahnärzte künftig, die Möglichkeiten der Implantologie in ihrer Praxis erfolgreich zu etablieren. Anfang Februar begrüßte das Projektteam eine Gruppe von Zahnärzten in Bensheim, die für das Konzept als Mentoren gewonnen werden konnten.
„Implants Impossible“ schließt eine Lücke in der implantologischen Fortbildung und bringt Zahnärzte, die Implantate in das Behandlungsspektrum ihrer Praxen aufnehmen wollen, mit erfahrenen Implantologen zusammen. „Im Rahmen eines persönlichen Coachings erleben die Mentees live in der Mentorenpraxis, wie eine erfolgreiche Integration der Implantologie in den Praxisalltag aussieht. So erweitern sie ihre bisherigen Erfahrungen im Setzen von Implantaten und gewinnen Sicherheit bei chirurgischen Eingriffen“, erläutert Sebastian Kiehne, Key Account Manager Equipment, der die Mentoren in Bensheim begrüßte.
Im Vordergrund des einjährigen Mentorings steht neben dem fachlichen Know-how vor allem die praktische Erfahrung, aber auch der Umgang mit dem Patienten, beispielsweise während des Aufklärungsgesprächs, das am Anfang jeder Implantation steht.

Gemeinsam mit den Mentoren erarbeitete das „Implants Impossible“-Team ein individuelles Konzept für das Programm. Die Teilnehmer erwartet ein maßgeschneidertes Angebot bestehend aus Supervision, Hospitation und begleitenden Seminaren. Für jeden Teilnehmer wurde ein Mentorenprofil mit Informationen zu Ausbildung, Praxiserfahrung und Schwerpunkten erstellt. Sebastian Kiehne erklärt: „So bringen wir Mentoren und Mentees für eine erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit zusammen.“
