Um einen Führer und Innovationstreiber zu sein ist es wichtig, eng mit Kunden - Zahnärzte und Zahntechniker. Messen sind eine Möglichkeit, die das Unternehmen interagiert mit aktuellen und zukünftigen Kunden und kein Ereignis ist ganz wie die internationale Dental-Schau (IDS).
Um am Markt weiterhin an der Spitze zu stehen und Innovationen voranzutreiben, ist es wichtig, eng mit Kunden zusammenzuarbeiten. Hierbei bieten Fachmessen Dentsply Sirona eine exzellente Möglichkeit, mit bestehenden und zukünftigen Kunden ins Gespräch zu kommen: Die Internationale Dental-Schau (IDS) ist eine besondere Gelegenheit.
Sie findet alle zwei Jahre in Köln statt, in diesem Jahr zum 37. Mal vom 21. bis zum 25. März. Mehr als 2.300 Aussteller aus 60 Ländern präsentierten dort fünf Tage lang die Innovationen und neuesten Trends der Dentalbranche. Die diesjährige Messe besuchten mehr als 155.000 Interessierte aus 157 Ländern, im Vergleich zu 2015 ist das ein Zuwachs von deutlich mehr als 10 %.
Eine weitere Besonderheit auf der diesjährigen IDS war der erste gemeinsame Auftritt von Dentsply Sirona.

In den Hallen 10.2 und 11.2 präsentierte das Unternehmen seine integrierten End-to-End-Lösungen und die durch die Fusion entstandenen Synergien. Dabei konnte Dentsply Sirona unter Beweis stellen, wie es als gemeinsames Unternehmen Arbeitsabläufe noch besser, sicherer und schneller macht.
Dentsply Sironas digitales IDS-Angebot: Messe-App und neuer Internetauftrit
Im Vorfeld der Messe richtete Dentsply Sirona eine eigene IDS-Webseite ein, die Informationen über das Unternehmen nach der Fusion, seine Geschäftsbereiche und Marken bot und darüber informierte, welche Produkte wo zu sehen sein werden. Zusätzlich wurde eine App für Android- und iOS-Smartphones entwickelt, die interessierten Besuchern auf der IDS Orientierung gab und Informationen zu allen Marken des Unternehmens bot. Die App basiert auf der Dentsply Sirona Solution Map, die wie die Karte des U-Bahn-Systems einer Großstadt aufgebaut ist. In der Solution Map entspricht jede Linie einem dentalen Workflow.
Die IDS bot weiterhin die Gelegenheit, die neue Unternehmenswebsite mit zahlreichen E-Commerce-Möglichkeiten vorzustellen, die das vollständige Produkt- und Dienstleistungsangebot von Dentsply Sirona präsentiert. Diese ersetzt auf dem US-amerikanischen und deutschen Markt.
Präsentation von Innovationen
Die IDS 2017 war für das Unternehmen ein Rekord hinsichtlich der Vorstellung neuer Produkte. Zahnärzte und Zahntechniker profitieren von den neuen, integrierten Lösungen, die die Planung und Behandlungsmethoden effizienter machen.
Ein Beispiel dafür ist die neue 3D-Endo-Software, die aus der Zusammenarbeit von Dentsply Sirona mit führenden Technikern, Wissenschaftlern und Softwareentwicklern aus den Bereichen Endodontie und digitalem Röntgen entstanden ist. Die neue Software kombiniert 3D-Röntgendaten mit einer integrierten Feilendatenbank, um Wurzelkanalbehandlungen besser analysieren, planen und optimieren zu können. Das macht endodontische Behandlungen sicherer und effizienter und ist nur mit den endodontischen Feilen von Dentsply Sirona möglich, die die besten auf dem Markt sind.
Live-Vorführungen
Die Vorträge und Live-Vorführungen von Dentsply Sironas Key-Opinion-Leadern wurden von mehr als 1.000 Teilnehmern besucht. Jeden Tag präsentierten Tim Nolting und Günter Fritzsche in Halle 10.2 sowie Andreas Ender und Marko Ahonen in Halle 11.2 bei insgesamt mehr als 20 Live-Vorführungen die Innovationen von CEREC. CEREC ist ein ausgezeichnetes Beispiel dafür, wie Kunden von der Fusion profitieren, da Dentsply Sirona nun eine noch größere Materialvielfalt für Füllungen und Restaurationen anbieten kann. Für den CEREC-Zirconia-Workflow mit Celtra Duo können alle Komponenten, die für einen optimalen Arbeitsablauf benötigt werden, nun aus einer Quelle bezogen.
Schwerpunkt CAD/CAM und Integration
In diesem Jahr wurde das CEREC-System um die Funktion zum Exportieren von Scandaten im STL-Format erweitert. Das schafft neue Möglichkeiten für diejenigen Zahnärzte, die am Anfang der Digitalisierung ihrer Praxen stehen.
Der Bereich International Special Clinic Solutions verzeichnete im Vorfeld der IDS ein sehr erfolgreiches Jahr, das von mehreren großen Projekten und großer medialer Aufmerksamkeit geprägt war. Auf der diesjährigen IDS wurde diesem Bereich fast doppelt so viel Ausstellungsfläche gewidmet wie auf der vergangenen IDS.
Bei dieser IDS ging es uns in erster Linie darum, uns als ein gemeinsames Vertriebsteam zu präsentieren und als ein solches zusammenzuarbeiten. Ich denke, dies ist uns sehr gut gelungen, was durch viele spontane Kundenrückmeldungen bestätigt wurde. Wir haben außerdem unser gemeinsames IDS-Verkaufsziel übertroffen und darüber hinaus Tausende zusätzliche und vielversprechende „leads“ generieren können. Während dieser fünf Tage habe ich mit vielen sehr engagierten und motivierten Mitarbeitern gesprochen, die stolz darauf waren, für Dentsply Sirona zu arbeiten.
Da professionelle Zahnreinigung und Vorsorge wesentliche Angebote von Zahnarztpraxen sind, präsentierten die SBUs Treatment Centers und Preventive die Integration des Cavitron Touch Ultrasonic Scalers, der neu in die Intego-Reihe von Behandlungseinheiten integriert wurde. Die kürzlich getroffene Vereinbarung zur Übernahme des französischen Unternehmens Recherche Techniques Dentaires (RTD), einem Pionier bei der Herstellung faserverstärkter Kompositstifte, ergänzt die neue Root-to-Crown-Solution (R2C™) von Dentsply Sirona, die ebenfalls auf der IDS vorgestellt wurde. Unter Kollegen
Es waren fünf intensive und aufregende Tage auf der IDS. Zahlreiche Kollegen aus aller Welt nahmen daran teil und nutzten die Chance, einander persönlich kennenzulernen und auszutauschen. Im Anschluss an den dritten Messetag fand zur Entspannung, um neue Kräfte zu tanken und als Dank für die harte Arbeit eine Mitarbeiterveranstaltung statt.
Es ist motivierend und inspirierend zugleich, in einer solch großen Menschenmenge vertraute Gesichter von Kollegen zu sehen, die für diese persönliche Begegnung aus aller Welt angereist sind. Die IDS war ein riesiger Erfolg und bescherte dem Unternehmen viele stolze Momente. Die vielen positiven Kontakte zwischen Mitarbeitern und Kunden zeigen deutlich, aus welch großartigem Mitarbeiterteam Dentsply Sirona weltweit besteht.
Dentsply Sirona zeigt zur IDS 2017 Präsenz auf allen Kanälen
Erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit: Mit einer integrierten Marketing- und Kommunikationskampagne, die von Teams aus aller Welt unterstützt wurde, hat Dentsply Sirona im Rahmen der IDS 2017 ein großes Echo in Online- und Printmedien erreicht.
Die IDS bot als weltweite Leitmesse der Dentalbranche den idealen Rahmen, um Dentsply Sirona als starke Marke und innovativen Partner für eine bessere, sicherere und schnellere zahnmedizinische Versorgung zu präsentieren.
Um diese Chance optimal nutzen zu können, hat Dentsply Sirona eine integrierte Marketing- und Kommunikationskampagne über unterschiedliche Kanäle hinweg entwickelt: sowohl über Online- und Print-Medien als auch durch direkten Kontakt mit den Medien. Ziel dieser integrierten Kampagne war es, Leads zu generieren, Kontakte zu knüpfen, Aufmerksamkeit zu erreichen und Klickzahlen zu steigern.
Eine im Vorfeld der Messe eigens konzipierte IDS-Webseite führte zu mehr als 465 Newsletter-Abonnenten. Während der IDS wurden täglich Newsletter auf Deutsch und Englisch versandt, die besondere Highlights aufzeigten. Die mehr als erfreuliche Öffnungsrate: 53 % der Empfänger haben den Newsletter geöffnet.
Die Zusammenarbeit mit den Medien war ein weiteres wichtiges Element der Kampagne. 38 Interviews mit Journalisten wurden geführt, und Pressemitteilungen an mehr als 950 Journalisten aus aller Welt versandt. Alles in allem konnten mit 305 Berichten 3,83 Millionen Leser erreicht werden und 5,8 Millionen Zuschauer sahen die Beiträge auf den wichtigsten deutschen Fernsehkanälen. Auch die Echtzeitkommunikation über Facebook lieferte mit mehr als 630.000 erreichten Nutzern eindrucksvolle Ergebnisse. Darüber hinaus konnten 2.119 Leads für die Sales-Teams generiert werden.
Im Rahmen der IDS verlieh Corporate Marketing and Communications den Dentsply Sirona Global Marketing Award. Jürgen Serafin, Vice President Corporate Marketing, überreichte Auszeichnungen für herausragende Kampagnen in den Bereichen Produkteinführung, Markenführung und Markenlösungen.
Unser Dank gilt allen, die zum Gelingen einer erfolgreichen IDS 2017 beigetragen haben. Die Zahlen sprechen für sich und zeigen, was möglich ist, wenn alle als ein globales Team zusammenarbeiten.
Reichweite: 305 Artikel in Printmedien erreichten 3,83 Millionen Leser; zudem verzeichneten die Online-Kanäle 69,6 Millionen Besucher mit einem Gesamtwerbeäquivalenzwert in Höhe von 332.000 Euro; Ausstrahlungen auf den wichtigsten deutschen TV-Kanälen erreichten 5,8 Millionen Zuschauer bei einem Werbewert von 255.000 Euro.
Pressekonferenz: 170 Journalisten nahmen an der Pressekonferenz teil (100 aus Europa, 20 aus den USA, 13 aus der Region Asien-Pazifik, zwei aus Kanada und 35 aus weiteren Ländern).
Interviews: 38 Medieninterviews wurden geführt, 13 davon mit Vorstandsmitgliedern und 25 mit den SBU-Führungskräften.
Pressemitteilungen: Weltweit wurden an 950 Journalisten 38 Pressemitteilungen in fünf Sprachen versandt.
Produktvorführungen: Journalisten konnten an 19 Produktvorführungen von Dentsply Sirona‘s innovativsten und meistverkauften Produkten teilnehmen.

IDS-Microsite: Die IDS-Website lieferte Informationen über den Messestand von Dentsply Sirona, einen Überblick über Innovationen und Live-Behandlungen, Live-Updates von der IDS und die integrierte interaktive Dentsply Sirona Solution Map. Die Website zählte insgesamt mehr als 10.000 Besucher; allein während der IDS gab es 26.000 Pageviews,
52 % davon von Nutzern mobiler Endgeräte.
Launch neuer Webseiten: Mehr als 80.000 Besucher und 400.000 Seitenaufrufe sind bereits für die neue Unternehmenswebseite, den Newsroom sowie die amerikanische und die deutsche Länder-Webseite zu verzeichnen.
