Der erste duale Student im Fach Informationstechnik hat seinen Bachelor bestanden. Bei CEREC entwickelt Marius Reining nun Software für Zahnärzte. Mit Spotlight sprach er über seinen Abschluss und die Zukunft bei Dentsply Sirona.
IT-Profi Marius Reining startet durch
Marius, was wird Ihnen aus der Studienzeit am meisten in Erinnerung bleiben?
Das Highlight war für mich die Bachelorarbeit. Meine Betreuer haben mich sehr dabei unterstützt, immer wieder Neues auszuprobieren. Da habe ich jeden Tag dazugelernt.
Würden Sie das duale Studium weiterempfehlen?
Auf jeden Fall. Der Vorteil ist die Abwechslung zwischen Theorie und Praxis. Ich konnte mein Wissen sofort anwenden, ohne ständig nach Praktika suchen zu müssen.
Wer entscheidet eigentlich, wo dual Studierende ihre Praxisphase absolvieren?
Da haben die Studenten großen Einfluss. Sie können selbst auf die Abteilungen zugehen. Es gibt aber auch eine extra Plattform, auf der die Fachabteilungen offene Projekte melden. Die Studierenden können sich dann darauf bewerben.
Wie geht es jetzt weiter?
Ich bin nun verantwortlich für die Software-Entwicklung des letzten Programmschritts der Produkte CEREC, CEREC Premium und MyCrown. Es ist toll, dass das Unternehmen mich weiterbeschäftigt, auch weil alle Kollegen mich während der Praxisphasen und der Bachelorarbeit mit viel Offenheit und Hilfsbereitschaft unterstützt haben. Jetzt bin ich ein festes Teil des Teams – das fühlt sich sehr gut an!
