Innovation und Fortbildung für eine bessere Infektionsprävention
Eine umfassende Infektionsprävention ist in Zahnarztpraxen oberste Pflicht. Das Expertenteam von Dentsply Sirona kann im Bereich Hygiene auf ein breites Portfolio von Lösungen verweisen und stellt gute Praxisbeispiele in weltweiten Schulungen vor.

Die Geschäftsbereiche Preventive und Instruments arbeiten eng zusammen, um für die gesamte Hygienekette in Praxen und Kliniken Lösungen anbieten zu können, die auf die Bedürfnisse des jeweiligen Marktes zugeschnitten sind. Diese Lösungen vereinfachen den Prozess und verbessern die Reproduzierbarkeit der Maßnahmen zur Infektionsprävention. Das Expertenteam von Dentsply Sirona hatte im Rahmen des 19. World Sterilization Congress in Mexiko-Stadt Gelegenheit, das sich ergänzende Produktangebot für manuelle und maschinelle Aufbereitung vorzustellen. Zudem nahm das Team an einem Fortbildungssymposium zum Thema Infektionskontrolle und -prävention in der Mongolei teil.
Hygiene-Portfolio stößt auf großes Interesse
Die rund 1.500 Teilnehmer aus 50 Nationen erwartete beim 19. World Sterilization Congress im November 2018 ein breit gefächertes Programm aus wissenschaftlichen Vorträgen und Workshops zu vielfältigen Themen rund um die Aufbereitung von medizinischen Geräten. Der Kongress fand 2018 erstmals in Lateinamerika statt.
Dentsply Sirona war der einzige Aussteller aus dem Bereich Dentaltechnologie – und durfte sich über großes Interesse freuen. Dabei waren nicht nur Zahnärzte an den Lösungen von Dentsply Sirona interessiert.
An unserem Stand konnten wir Hygienefachleute großer Kliniken und Vertreter von Gesundheitsbehörden und Universitäten begrüßen, die sich über die neuesten technischen Entwicklungen für moderne Infektionskontrolle und -prävention in der Zahnmedizin informiert haben.
Umso größer ist jetzt schon die Vorfreude des Teams auf den 20. World Sterilization Congress Ende des Jahres in Den Haag (Niederlande).
Deutsch-mongolisches Symposium zur Krankenhaushygiene
Das Engagement für Infektionsprävention schließt bei Dentsply Sirona auch den wichtigen Bereich Weiterbildung mit ein. Beispiel Mongolei: In dem Land ist die Rate der Hepatitisinfektionen sehr hoch. Schätzungen zufolge ist bis zu einem Fünftel der Bevölkerung mit Hepatitis B oder C infiziert. Die Krankheit wird oft während eines Krankenhausaufenthalts übertragen, da Infektionskontrolle und -prävention in den Kliniken nur sehr unzureichend durchgeführt werden. Auch durch zahnärztliche Behandlungen wird Hepatitis verbreitet. 2010 starteten die Gesundheitsministerien von Deutschland und der Mongolei im Rahmen einer Kooperation ein Pilotprojekt zur Verbesserung der Infektionsprävention in der Notfallversorgung und in Krankenhäusern: das Mongolian Emergency Service and Hospital Hygiene Project (MeshHp). Ziel ist es, die Aufbereitung medizinischer Geräte für die Reinigung, Desinfektion und Sterilisation zu verbessern. Dentsply Sirona gehörte im September 2018 zu den eingeladenen Teilnehmern eines deutsch-mongolischen Symposiums zur Krankenhaushygiene in Ulaanbaatar. Ein Tag stand dabei ganz im Zeichen der Infektionsprävention in der Zahnmedizin. Rund ein Viertel der mongolischen Zahnärzte nahm an der Veranstaltung teil, was für einen potenziell hohen Streueffekt zur Verbesserung der Infektionsprävention spricht.
Als Repräsentantin von Dentsply Sirona klärte Hygienereferentin Stella Nehr-Werner über die fachgerechte Aufbereitung von Behandlungsinstrumenten in der Zahnarztpraxis auf. Sie erläuterte, dass der maschinellen Reinigung und Desinfektion in der Regel der Vorzug zu geben ist und dass die Herstellerangaben eine ideale Leitlinie sind, insbesondere bei der Aufbereitung komplexer Instrumente.
Dentsply Sirona wird sich auch weiterhin weltweit aktiv für eine Verbesserung der Infektionskontrolle und -prävention in der Zahnmedizin einsetzen.
