Zusammen laufen, zusammenwachsen
Einmal auf der Piste, auf der ansonsten Rennwagen oder Motorräder dahinbrettern, und einmal mitten zwischen den Hochhäusern der Frankfurter Skyline. Doch nicht nur aufgrund der Strecken waren die Firmenläufe im Sommer 2016 für die Läufer von Dentsply Sirona ein besonderes Ereignis. Erstmals traten sie gemeinsam mit Trikots mit dem neuen Firmennamen an und trugen die Botschaft vom Zusammenwachsen von DENTSPLY und Sirona auf die Laufstrecken.
Beim BASF-Firmencup im Juni 2016 auf dem Hockenheimring gingen 117 Läufer von Dentsply Sirona an den Start, 97 aus Bensheim und 20 vom Standort in Mannheim. Gemeinsam mit den rund 16.000 anderen Startern wurde die 4,8 Kilometer lange Strecke entweder per Inliner oder laufend bewältigt. Dabei hatten die früher startenden Inline-Skater deutlich mehr Glück mit dem Wetter und kamen noch trocken ins Ziel.
Der Start der Läufer musste aufgrund eines Gewitters verschoben werden und so mancher bekam eine kräftige Dusche von oben. Das Wetter konnte aber die gute Stimmung nicht trüben und alle nutzen insbedondere vor dem Start die Möglichkeit zum gegenseitigen Kennenlernen. Lediglich hinterher fiel das gesellige Beisammensein bei Speis und Trank etwas kürzer aus, da so mancher sich dann doch nach einer warmen Dusche und trockener Kleidung sehnte.
Herausforderung mit Bravour und Elan gemeistert
Eine Woche später beim JP Morgan-Lauf in Frankfurt am Main waren die Dimensionen noch gewaltiger: mit knapp 70.000 Läufern aus 2.600 Firmen handelt es sich um die größte Veranstaltung dieser Art weltweit. Dentsply Sirona war mit 134 Startern dabei, davon 63 aus Bensheim, 42 aus Hanau und 29 aus Mannheim.
In Frankfurt war der Wettergott zum Glück auf Seiten der Läufer. Beim Start für die 5,6 Kilometer lange Strecke durch das Bankenviertel und die Innenstadt schien sogar die Sonne und es herrschten angenehme Lauftemperaturen. Im eigens für Dentsply Sirona gemieteten Cateringzelt konnten die Läufer im Anschluss bei kühlen Getränken und leckerem Essen den Abend ausklingen lassen.
