Zusammenarbeit mit KOLs für die Zukunft der Zahngesundheit
Ein Großteil des Erfolgs von Dentsply Sirona beruht auf den Beziehungen zu „Key Opinion Leadern“ (KOLs) der Dentalbranche. Aktuelle Beispiele geben einen Einblick, wie diese Zusammenarbeit gestaltet wird.
Den Kunden und seine Bedürfnisse jederzeit im Blick zu haben, Produkte zu entwickeln und Dienstleistungen anzubieten, die die gesamte Dentalbranche voranbringen – das sind zentrale Aspekte des DS Modells in der Zukunft. Die weltweite Zusammenarbeit mit KOLs („Key Opinion Leader“, Engl. für Meinungsführer) ist eine tragende Säule dieses Modells, die dazu beiträgt, die Anliegen von Kunden in verschiedenen Märkten besser zu verstehen.
Dentsply Sirona hat 2018 bereits eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen für KOLs durchgeführt: darunter neue, wie das „Global Lab Experts Network“ (GLEN) und das „International Faculty Forum“, aber auch das „27. North American Endodontic Opinion Leader Forum“, im Rahmen dessen Dentsply Sirona KOLs bei der Stärkung ihrer Netzwerke fördert. Die von Dentsply Sirona gegründete „Platform for Exchange of Experience, Research and Science“ (PEERS) unterstützt bereits seit über zehn Jahren Zahnärzte weltweit mit zahlreichen Veranstaltungen. Gleichzeitig ist dem Unternehmen bewusst, dass auch die nachfolgende Generation von Meinungsführern gefördert werden muss, um diese wertvollen Beziehungen aufrechtzuerhalten. Das sogenannte „p3-Programm“ („Profession, Passion, Power“ – Englisch für „Beruf, Leidenschaft, Stärke“) erreicht dies durch Coaching eines ausgewählten Teilnehmerfelds. Die Kandidaten zeichnen sich sowohl durch ihre Bereitschaft, sich als öffentliche Redner zu engagieren als auch durch ein Interesse an einer langen Partnerschaft mit Dentsply Sirona aus.
Zusätzlich zu den unternehmensinternen Plattformen und Veranstaltungen stattet Dentsply Sirona auch Schulungseinrichtungen von KOLs aus, wie zum Beispiel das „International CEREC Institute“ in Südkorea oder das „CAD/CAM Training Center“ in Taiwan.
Das „Global Lab Experts Network“ (GLEN)
Mitte Juli kamen etwa 50 KOLs aus fast 20 Ländern in Frankfurt am Main zum ersten GLEN-Meeting zusammen. Vom Team Clinical Affairs gegründet, ist GLEN eine neue Initiative, die durch den Aufbau eines Expertennetzwerks im Bereich der Zahntechnik eine Lücke schließt. Die SBU Lab war Gastgeber der zweitägigen Veranstaltung, die sich um aktuelle Themen und zukünftige Trends drehte. Für die Teilnehmer gab es zahlreiche Gelegenheiten zum gegenseitigen Austausch. Mehrere Mitglieder der Geschäftsleitung von Dentsply Sirona sprachen über den Schwerpunkt Weiterbildung.
Weiterbildung ist in einer sich dynamisch entwickelnden Umwelt von besonderer Bedeutung. Das SBU Lab-Team zeigt darüber hinaus unermüdliches Engagement, Dentallabore und Zahntechniker bestmöglich zu unterstützen."
Das Treffen begann mit einem gemütlichen Abendessen, um den Austausch zu fördern. Der folgende Tag begann mit einer exklusiven Führung durch die Produktionsstätten von Dentsply Sirona in Bensheim und Hanau. Für die Anwesenden war dies interessant zu sehen, da sie aus erster Hand sehen konnten, wie viele Laborprodukte hergestellt werden. Die Teilnehmer waren vom Format des Treffens begeistert und sind gespannt darauf, das nächste GLEN-Meeting in zwei Jahren zu planen.
Das „27. North American Endodontic Opinion Leader Forum 2018”
Für Dentsply Sirona hat die Nähe zu Praktikern Priorität. Ein großartiges Beispiel hierfür bildet das „27. North American Endodontic Opinion Leader Forum“, das im vergangenen Sommer stattfand. Die beliebte Veranstaltung für geladene Gäste in Boca Raton, Florida, versammelte fast 200 Gäste aus den USA und Kanada. Darunter Endodontologen, Forscher, Entwickler, Leiter von endodontologischen Vereinigungen und Universitäten sowie wichtige Meinungsbildner auf dem endodontologischen Markt.

Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Meetings ist es das erklärte Ziel dieser Veranstaltung, Dentsply Sirona Anregungen zu geben, bessere Lösungen für den endodontischen Markt zu schaffen.

Natürlich ist das Treffen nicht nur wegen des direkten Meinungsaustauschs mit dem Unternehmen beliebt, sondern auch wegen der hochkarätigen Vernetzung der Teilnehmer und der Möglichkeit, das Techniklabor von Dentsply Sirona zu besuchen, um sich über die neuesten technologischen Innovationen zu informieren.
KOLs – auch im Fokus der SBU Implants
Vor über zehn Jahren wurde die „Platform for Exchange of Experience, Research and Science“ (PEERS) von Dentsply Sirona Implants ins Leben gerufen. Auch im Sommer dieses Jahres fanden Veranstaltungen statt. So hielt die SBU Implants im Rahmen des „Internationalen Ankylos-Kongresses“ in Berlin ihr drittes internationales PEERS-Treffen ab. 68 Mitglieder aus sechs Ländern nahmen an dem Frühstückstermin teil. Das Treffen bot ein professionelles Forum, um die Chancen eines digitalen Workflows in der Implantologie kritisch zu diskutieren. Die Ergebnisse waren sowohl für die externen Teilnehmer als auch für die Mitarbeiter der SBU Implants äußerst wertvoll. Peter Gehrke, Mitglied von PEERS Deutschland, moderierte die Diskussionen. Ein Bericht der Sitzung wird mit allen PEERS-Mitgliedern weltweit geteilt.
Nur zwei Wochen später trafen sich die nordamerikanischen PEERS-Mitglieder in der Dentsply Sirona Academy in Charlotte (USA), um sich im Rahmen von Vorträgen zu Themen wie regenerative Materialien, Implantate und Möglichkeiten der Behandlung unbezahnter Kiefer auszutauschen.

Das Feedback auf das Treffen war sehr positiv. Mark Ludlow, DMD, MS I Medical University of South Carolina, sagte dazu: „Das PEERS-Treffen ist eines meiner Favoriten. Es ist unglaublich großartig zu sehen, wie einige der besten Praktiker der Welt für drei Tage zusammenkommen und Ideen und Erfahrungen austauschen ..."
Vom 6. bis 8. Dezember 2018 plant das Implants-Team eine Auftaktveranstaltung in Mainz, um weitere Führungskräfte aus diesem Bereich der Zahnmedizin zu gewinnen. Das sogenannte „International Faculty Forum” bietet den Teilnehmern ein Update zur Strategie von Dentsply Sirona und die Chance, mit dem globalen Management bei der Schaffung neuer Netzwerke zusammenzuarbeiten. Die neue Veranstaltung wird Teilnehmer aus Wissenschaft und Praxis zusammenbringen. Bei Folgeveranstaltungen wird sich der Kreis der rund 100 geladenen Teilnehmer ändern, um konstant neue Perspektiven zu schaffen.
Viele der Veranstaltungen und Schulungen legen den Fokus auf aktive KOLs. Das „p3-Programm“ bietet jedoch auch Möglichkeiten für die nachfolgende Generation, ihre Präsentationsfähigkeiten auszubauen. Im Rahmen dessen wird eine ausgewählte Gruppe Praktiker in einem einjährigen Programm, bestehend aus fünf Modulen, geschult. Das aktuell letzte Modul fand im Oktober zu den Themen „Strukturierte Kommunikation und Diskussionsmanagement“ statt.
Neue Trainingszentren für Asien
Im Juli konnten Dentsply Sirona-Mitarbeiter und Gäste die Eröffnung des „International CEREC Institute“ (ICI) in Daejeon, Südkorea, feiern. Die Einrichtung, die sich im Besitz von Dr. Hanna Lee, einer CEREC-Anwenderin und Dozentin befindet, erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von über 6.400 Quadratmetern auf zwei Etagen und verfügt über einen Seminarraum für 40 Teilnehmer. Dentsply Sirona unterstützt Dr. Lee mit der Bereitstellung von Geräten. Der erste Kurs richtete sich an Zahnärzte, die CEREC noch nicht nutzen, um eine Einführung in diese Technologie zu geben.
Dentsply Sirona hat zudem das CAD/CAM-Trainingscenter in Taipeh für dessen Eröffnung im Mai 2016 ausgestattet und unterstützt dieses auch weiterhin. Das Center wird geleitet von Dr. Tsao und bietet zahlreiche internationale und regionale Kurse an, darunter auch zu CEREC.
