SICAT im Ausnahmezustand
Samstag, der 4. Juni 2016. Halb Deutschland wird von einem schweren Unwetter heimgesucht. Durch die Straßen von Bad Godesberg schießen die Wassermassen. Auch der Standort von SICAT, einem Dentsply Sirona Unternehmen, steht innerhalb kürzester Zeit unter Wasser.
Keller und Erdgeschoss des Gebäudes an der Brunnenallee, das den Bereich Entwicklung beherbergt, sind überflutet. Produktion, Verwaltung, Controlling und andere Bereiche haben ihren Sitz in der Fronhofer Galerie – einem Einkaufs- und Bürozentrum in Bad Godesberg, dessen Tiefgarage und Erdgeschoss komplett vollgelaufen sind. Im Keller befinden sich auch die Server und das Netzwerk des Gebäudes. SICAT ist im Bereich der dreidimensionalen Bildgebung tätig und entwickelt anwenderfreundliche Soft- und Hardware für die dentale Implantologie, Funktionsdiagnostik und ‑therapie, sowie eine Software zur Analyse und Behandlungsplanung von Schlafapnoe.
Viele helfende Hände
Alles ist voller Schlamm, der Strom ist ausgefallen. Außer der Feuerwehr und dem Technischen Hilfswerk darf niemand in das Gebäude. „Die komplette Firma war nicht arbeitsfähig“, erzählt Geschäftsführer Jochen Kusch. Schnell werden für einige Abteilungen auf dem Parkplatz der Brunnenallee Container aufgestellt. Die Mitarbeiter rücken zusammen, teilen sich Bürotische oder richten ihre Arbeitsplätze zuhause ein. „Jeder hat getan, was er konnte, um auszuhelfen“, berichtet Kusch. Erst am 21. Juni darf die Produktion in der Fronhofer Galerie wieder aufgenommen werden. Dank des tatkräftigen Engagements der Mitarbeiter schafft es SICAT bereits bis zum 6. Juli, alle liegengebliebenen Aufträge abzuarbeiten und den Regelbetrieb wiederaufzunehmen. Kusch „Das war eine unglaubliche Teamleistung.“
