Für den neuen Intraoralscanner Primescan wurde ein völlig neues Verfahren zur digitalen Abformung entwickelt.
Mit Primescan hat Dentsply Sirona im Februar einen Meilenstein in der Zahnheilkunde vorgestellt. Mehrere Jahre investierten mehr als 100 Kolleginnen und Kollegen, um eine völlig neue Aufnahmetechnik zu entwickeln.
Wir mussten die Dinge von Grund auf neu denken.
Das Verfahren überzeugt durch höchste Präzision und Schnelligkeit in der digitalen Abformung über den gesamten Kiefer. Bis zu eine Million 3D-Bildpunkte pro Sekunde werden dabei erfasst. Mit der innovativen Messtechnik der optischen Hochfrequenzkontrastanalyse ist eine genauere Berechnung möglich als je zuvor. „Die jahrelange Arbeit in Forschung, Konstruktion und Validierung hat sich gelohnt. Primescan setzt in vielerlei Hinsicht neue Standards im Bereich digitale Zahnheilkunde. Zahnärzte können digitalisierte Prozesse jetzt noch besser für die Behandlung nutzen“, so Björn Voss, Team Leader Optical 3D-Metrology. Der Scanner erfasst Zahnoberflächen direkt in der benötigten Auflösung und mit hoher Tiefenschärfe, wodurch das 3D-Modell des Kiefers besonders detailgenau ausfällt. Der Zahnarzt kann den digitalen Abdruck auf dem Touchscreen der Aufnahmeeinheit begutachten, der sich neigen und perfekt an ergonomische Anforderungen anpassen lässt.

Neue Software-Generation
Für die Produktion wurden eigens Werkzeuge und Messinstrumente entwickelt. „Die Komponenten sind teilweise sehr filigran, dazu kommen die glatten und ineinandergreifenden Oberflächen“, erläutert Alexander Völcker, Group Vice President CAD/CAM & Orthodontics den anspruchsvollen Montageprozess. Auch die Software wurde weiterentwickelt. Connect übermittelt das digitale 3D-Modell bei Bedarf direkt an ein Labor. Über die neue Connect Case Center Inbox haben Labore weltweit die Möglichkeit, Scandaten zu empfangen und weiterzuverarbeiten. „Für Zahnarztpraxen, die Zahnersatz selbst planen und herstellen, bieten wir mit der neuen Cerec Software 5 für Cerec eine Software an, die ein modernes Erscheinungsbild hat und mit einem 5-Klick-Konzept überzeugt“, so Jochen Hartmann, Global Product Manager Cerec Software.
Am Standort kümmern sich künftig mehr als 100 Mitarbeiter um Produktion, Vermarktung und Vertrieb des Scanners, der auch schon zum Patent angemeldet ist.
Mit Primescan baut Bensheim seine Position als Kompetenzzentrum für digitale Dentaltechnologien weiter aus. Der Scanner kann die digitale Zahnheilkunde maßgeblich verändern.
