Dentsply Sirona auf der IDS erfolgreich wie nie zuvor
Vom 12. bis 16. März 2019 fand in Köln das wichtigste Ereignis der Dentalbranche statt: die 38. Internationale Dental-Schau (IDS). Dentsply Sirona präsentierte den Messebesuchern mit mehreren hundert Mitarbeitern und vielen interaktiven Elementen bahnbrechende Innovationen.
Alle zwei Jahre herrscht in der Dentalwelt „Ausnahmezustand“: Dann wird Köln zum internationalen Treffpunkt von Dentalindustrie, Dentalhandel, Zahnärzten und Zahntechnikern. Aus über 160 Ländern kamen in diesem Jahr mehr als 166.000 Fachbesucher und sorgten damit für einen neuen Rekord. Dentsply Sirona war als weltgrößtes Dentalunternehmen selbstverständlich dabei und hieß seine Besucher auf 2.000 Quadratmetern Standfläche willkommen.
Es war die erfolgreichste Messe der Unternehmensgeschichte, und dafür gebührt allen daran Beteiligten allergrößter Dank!
Inspired by your needs
Unter dem Motto „Inspired by your needs“ stellte Dentsply Sirona eindrucksvolle Innovationen vor, demonstrierte Produkte und Lösungen in zahlreichen Live-Vorführungen auf verschiedenen Bühnen und bot diverse Fortbildungsveranstaltungen direkt auf dem Stand an. Außerdem überraschte Dentsply Sirona mit vielen interaktiven Erlebnissen wie zum Beispiel einer „Entenjagd“, einem Scan-Wettbewerb, Azento Milchshakes mit einem detailgetreu abgebildeten Selfie auf dem Sahne-Topping sowie einem Photobooth, mit dem Kunden zu Cover-Stars wurden.
„Unsere klare Fokussierung auf die Bedürfnisse unserer Kunden, unsere Bereitschaft, zuzuhören und zu lernen, sowie unsere Anstrengungen, Produkte und Lösungen zu entwickeln, die unsere Kunden in ihrer täglichen Arbeit maßgeblich voranbringen, haben sich ausgezahlt“, resümierte Don Casey, CEO von Dentsply Sirona.
Die Resonanz der Besucher und auch der Medien war enorm: Nirgendwo sonst herrschte derart Hochbetrieb auf den Ständen wie bei Dentsply Sirona, nirgendwo sonst kamen mehr als 200 Teilnehmer zu einer Pressekonferenz auf der IDS. Und diese zeigten sich beeindruckt: „Viele Unternehmen versuchen, auf dem Gebiet der digitalen Zahnheilkunde voranzukommen, doch wir sehen hier: Dentsply Sirona ist weit voraus“, fasste einer der teilnehmenden Journalisten zusammen.
Unser Stand auf der IDS ist in der Regel sehr gut besucht, aber in diesem Jahr war es einfach, Kollegen von allen anderen zu unterscheiden, dank der bunten, gebrandeten Sneakers, die unser Team trägt. Sogar das Pendeln zur Messe war ein Erlebnis, da so viele Leute positive Kommentare zu den Schuhen unseres Teams abgaben und mehrere Kunden und Wettbewerber fragten, wie sie ein Paar bekommen könnten!
Unter dem Motto „Inspired by your needs“ luden zwei Messestände mit einer Gesamtfläche von rund 2.000 Quadratmetern die Messebesucher ein, die neuesten Innovationen, Produkte und Lösungen zu erleben.
Neue Maßstäbe in Abformung und Füllungstherapie
Dentsply Sirona hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, für den Alltag in Praxis und Labor unverzichtbare Produkte zu entwickeln, die Zahnärzten und Zahntechnikern mit digitalen Technologien einen echten Mehrwert bieten und ihre täglichen Routinen intelligent verbessern. Auf der IDS stellte Dentsply Sirona dafür richtungsweisende Innovationen wie Primescan vor. Mit dem neuen Intraoralscanner lassen sich Ober- und Unterkiefer einfacher, schneller und vor allem genauer als je zuvor abformen. Das daraus errechnete 3D-Modell steht dann für viele weitere Workflows zur Verfügung, etwa für die volldigitale Herstellung von SureSmile Aligners zur Korrektur von Zahnfehlstellungen.
Unsere neuen Materialien bieten Lösungen für die Füllungstherapie, die Endodontie sowie für die digitale Zahntechnik. Im Ergebnis erwarten wir eine Verkürzung der Behandlungszeit und eine verbesserte Patientenzufriedenheit.
Für die restaurative Zahnheilkunde stellte Dentsply Sirona Cercon xt ML vor. Dabei handelt es sich um ein extra transluzentes Material mit unterschiedlichen Farbschichten. Mit ihm lassen sich die Farbverläufe des natürlichen Zahns noch besser nachbilden als bisher. Ein echter Coup gelang auch mit der Entwicklung von Surefil one, einem innovativen Füllungskonzept für den Seitenzahnbereich. Es verknüpft die Einfachheit eines Glasionomers mit der Haltbarkeit klassischer Komposite bei gleichzeitig guter Ästhetik.
Digitale Technologien werden die Zahnheilkunde weiter stark verändern. Wir waren auf diesem Gebiet vor mehr als 30 Jahren Pioniere, sind heute klarer Marktführer und setzen alles daran, auch weiterhin Innovationstreiber auf diesem Gebiet zu sein.
Richtungsweisend ist ebenso das neue Konzept für die Endodontie: TruNatomy profitiert von der 130-jährigen Erfahrung von Dentsply Sirona in der Herstellung von Feilen wie denen der ProTaperoder WaveOne Gold Familien. Das TruNatomy Sortiment bietet Ärzten eine Lösung mit effizienter Performance und reibungslosem Benutzererlebnis. Aus dem Bereich Implantologie wurden dem breiten Fachpublikum zwei weitere Innovationen vorgestellt: Acuris basiert auf einem konometrischen Konzept, das den abschließenden prothetischen Schritt der Implantatbehandlung, die Befestigung der Krone und der Kappe auf dem Abutment, allein durch Friktion bewältigt – ohne Schrauben und ohne Zement. Die Lösung ist für den Patienten festsitzend, für den Zahnarzt aber herausnehmbar. Azento wiederum macht die Implantatbehandlung zu einem klar strukturierten Workflow, bei dem sich der Chirurg voll auf seine Tätigkeit konzentrieren kann, da in dem Rundum-sorglos-Paket alle Komponenten und Instrumente, die für eine Implantatbehandlung erforderlich sind, enthalten sind.
Unsere Kunden vertrauen in den Bereichen Treatment Centers, Imaging und Instruments auf qualitativ hochwertige Funktionalität und Benutzerfreundlichkeit sowie neueste Technologien – beides haben wir auf der IDS erneut unter Beweis gestellt.
Mit der neuen „Orthophos Familie“ lässt Dentsply Sirona schließlich das extraorale Röntgen noch praxisindividueller werden: Hier findet jeder Anwender – ob Generalist oder Spezialist – das für ihn richtige Modell mit neuester Röntgentechnologie.
„Das Feedback unserer Kunden hat bestätigt, dass unser engagiertes Team an den ,richtigen‘ Produktlösungen gearbeitet hat, die in der täglichen Praxis einen echten Unterschied machen“, so Don Casey. „Es war auch beeindruckend zu sehen, wie sehr das Dentsply Sirona-Team zusammengewachsen ist – nicht zuletzt erkennbar durch unsere IDS-Sneakers.“
Messestände als besonderes Erlebnis
In täglichen Live-Demonstrationen präsentierte Dentsply Sirona den Messebesuchern die neuesten dentaltechnischen Entwicklungen und Innovationen. Unzählige Zahnärzte und Zahntechniker nahmen an Fortbildungsveranstaltungen direkt an den Messeständen teil. Medienvertreter konnten neben der Pressekonferenz auch Produkt-Workshops besuchen, um tiefer in die jeweilige Materie einzusteigen – für Journalisten eine auf der Messe wirklich einmalige Möglichkeit.
Unsere langfristig dokumentierten Implantatsysteme und die von uns entwickelten innovativen Lösungen wie Acuris und Azento machen den entscheidenden Unterschied für Zahnärzte aus.
Direkt am Stand wurde die Umfrage „1 profession. 1.000 jobs“ durchgeführt, um zu erfahren, welche zusätzlichen Herausforderungen Zahnärzte und Zahntechniker in ihrem Berufsalltag zu meistern haben. Zu einer echten Attraktion avancierten die Dentsply Sirona-Badeenten, die jeweils einen Geschäftsbereich symbolisierten und den Messebesuchern als Dankeschön für ihr Interesse überreicht wurden. Ein echter Hingucker waren dabei auch die Dentsply Sirona-gebrandeten Sneakers, die alle Mitarbeiter am Stand trugen und sie schon von Weitem erkennbar.
Dass diese IDS so eindrucksvoll, inspirierend und vor allem erfolgreich war, ist dem großen Engagement und Teamgeist aller Mitarbeiter zu verdanken. Dentsply Sirona hat dieser Messe seinen Stempel aufgedrückt und seine Marktführerschaft einmal mehr unterstrichen.
Es war beeindruckend, mit so vielen Kollegen aus aller Welt gemeinsam auf der IDS unsere Neuheiten präsentieren zu dürfen. Die Stände waren immer gerammelt voll mit Besuchern aus allen Nationen – und wir mittendrin. Ich konnte richtig spüren, dass wir Teil von etwas Besonderem sind und auch von den Kunden so wahrgenommen werden. Dieses Gefühl werde ich mitnehmen.

Täglich fanden mehr als 20 Live-Demonstrationen statt.
Mehrere hundert Besucher beteiligten sich an der Umfrage „1 profession. 1.000 jobs“.
Rund 12.000 Enten fanden ein neues Zuhause.
Über 2.500 personalisierte Milchshakes mit Foto-Topping wurden getrunken.
Etwa 2.500 Titel für das Designmagazin „trenDS“ entstanden in dem Photobooth.
Rund 3.000 Zahnärzte und Zahntechniker nahmen an 300 Fortbildungsveranstaltungen an den Messeständen teil.
400 digitale Press-Kits wurden an Journalisten verteilt.
Etwa 100 Mitarbeiter waren am Aufbau der Messe¬stände beteiligt.
11 km an Kabeln wurden an den Ständen von Dentsply Sirona verbaut.
Schon 12 Tage vor der IDS begann der Aufbau der Messepräsenz.
Spezielle Lichttechniker programmierten 3 Tage lang für den WOW-Effekt am Stand.
300 Posts, Stories und Videos, veröffentlicht über die globalen Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook Kanäle, haben insgesamt über 1 Million User erreicht.
Fakten zur IDS
Mehr als 2.300 Unternehmen aus 64 Ländern stellten auf der IDS aus.
Aus Deutschland kamen 610 Aussteller, circa 27 Prozent der gesamten Aussteller.
Mit einer Fläche von 170.000 Quadratmetern war die diesjährige 38. IDS die erfolgreichste und größte Messe bisher.
Am stärksten wuchs die Besucherzahl aus Asien (plus 23 Prozent), auch aus Osteuropa kamen deutlich mehr Besucher zur IDS als 2017 (plus 189,6 Prozent).
Die nächste IDS findet vom 9. bis 13. März 2021 statt.
Dentsply Sirona Trainings und Live-Demonstrationen
EMEA: 244 Zahnärzte haben im EMEA Raum an 29 Trainings teilgenommen.
LAB: 500 Teilnehmer nahmen an 62 Demonstrationen teil.
ENDO-RESTO: In 30 Hands-on-Schulungen trainierten 360 Zahnärzte. 300 zusätzliche Vorführungen fanden am internationalen Stand statt und unzählige weitere im DACH Bereich.
CEREC: 100 Live-Patientenbehandlungen erfolgten auf den zwei Bühnen und wurden von fast 1.500 Zuschauern verfolgt. Etwa 3.000 Produktdemonstrationen erfolgten am Stand.
Guided Tours: Vier verschiedene Touren, die jeweils einen kompletten Workflow abbilden, wurden geführt. Sie enthielten alle Product Groups, die ein Zahnarzt benötigt, um eine bestimmte Behandlung komplett durchzuführen. An insgesamt vierzig Touren nahmen rund 150 Teilnehmer teil.
Imaging Hands-On Tutorial: Mehr als 60 Kurse mit mehr als 250 Teilnehmern wurden durchgeführt.
Insgesamt wurden über den Verlauf der Messe mehr als 14.000 Produktdemonstrationen durchgeführt.
