VDW erhält erneut das TÜV-Siegel
VDW München hat im November 2019 erfolgreich das jährliche Überwachungsaudit des TÜV Süd bestanden.
Die Zertifizierung für Medizinproduktehersteller erhalten Unternehmen, die alle europäischen, gesetzlichen und normativen Anforderungen für diese Produkte erfüllen. „Da VDW weltweit Produkte verkauft, nehmen wir an einem Medical Device Single Audit Program der Länder Kanada, Australien, Japan, Brasilien und USA teil. So können wir in einem Audit den Qualitätsnachweis für alle diese Länder erbringen“, erklärt Petra Altmann-Peichl, Director Quality & Regulatory Compliance, VDW Endo. Im Rahmen des Audits werden sämtliche Prozesse geprüft – von der Produktidee über die Entwicklung, Realisierung und Vermarktung sowie Überwachung im Markt samt Meldewesen bis hin zum Ende des Produktlebenszyklus.
Weiteres Audit für 2020 geplant
In diesem Jahr ist am Standort noch ein weiteres großes Audit für alle Bereiche geplant. Dabei soll geprüft werden, ob die aktuellen Anforderungen der europäischen Medizinprodukteverordnung Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745 an die VDW Medizinprodukte und deren technischer Dokumentation erfüllt werden, die Produkte nachweislich sicher und wirksam sind und dem Stand der Technik entsprechen. Petra Altmann-Peichl: „So stellen wir sicher, dass wir weiterhin erfolgreich am Markt verkaufen können.“
