Am 19. Dezember 2016 hat der letzte C8+ das Bensheimer Werk verlassen.
Als internationaler Bestseller verhalf C8+ Dentsply Sirona zum Titel „globaler Markt- und Technologieführer in der Dentalindustrie“. Nun jedoch ist die Zeit der C-Generation in Bensheim endgültig abgelaufen. Der letzte C8+ hat Ende 2016 das Werk verlassen. „Natürlich darf auch etwas Nostalgie aufkommen“, so Dominik Fabry, Fertigungsleiter.
In guter Erinnerung: Der letzte C8+ ist produziert. Zum Abschied gab es noch ein Bild mit dem gesamten Produktionsteam.
Der C8 ging um die Welt
Seit 1996 hat die C-Generation dazu beigetragen, zahnärztliche Behandlungen sicherer und besser zu machen. Die Einheiten C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 und C8 wurden stets in Bensheim hergestellt. Über 100.000 Einheiten, dazu fast 50.000 C8-Exemplare, wurden hier geplant, zusammengebaut, verpackt und in die Welt versandt. Umfangreiche Klinikaufträge kamen etwa aus Saudi-Arabien, Ägypten, Russland und China.
Nach mehr als 20 Jahren macht die C-Baureihe nun aber Platz für eine neue Generation von Behandlungseinheiten. Teneo, Sinius und Intego haben schon längst Einzug im Bensheimer Werk gehalten:
