YOU-Programm unterstützt Zahnmediziner mit Weiterbildung und Mentoring.
Von der Uni direkt in den Praxisalltag: Die ersten Berufsjahre stellen Zahnärzte vor Herausforderungen. Dentsply Sirona startet mit YOU ein Programm, das Weiterbildung, Mentoring und Networking für junge Zahnmediziner – ganz gleich in welchem Alter – in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Das Programm steht Studierenden im Abschlusssemester ebenso offen wie Zahnärzten in der Assistenzzeit bis hin zur Phase der eigenen Praxisgründung.
Praxistaugliche Lehrangebote
Das Herzstück von YOU sind die Lehrangebote (Curricula), die Praxiswissen und -training in unterschiedlichen Fachbereichen vermitteln. „Die Curricula sind 100 Prozent praxistauglich und können auch die Grundlage für die spätere Spezialisierung schaffen. Erklärt wird zum Beispiel, wie digitale Lösungen den Arbeitsablauf für indirekte Restaurationen oder in der Implantologie unterstützen können. Oder wie man sich optimal auf den ersten chirurgischen Eingriff vorbereitet“, so Brigitte Hofbeck. Ein eigenes Modul behandelt das Thema Praxismanagement: Unternehmensführung, Praxismarketing, Qualitätsmanagement und Hygiene sowie Abrechnung.
Über das YOU-Programm treten wir in den Dialog mit dem zahnärztlichen Nachwuchs. Wir möchten Berufseinsteigern die Unterstützung bieten, die sie für den Start in den Praxisalltag brauchen.
Die Teilnehmer werden auch über die Lehrveranstaltung hinaus von Mentorinnen oder Mentoren unterstützt. Zahnmedizinerinnen und Zahnmediziner mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten wie Ästhetische und Digitale Zahnheilkunde, Implantologie und Parodontologie oder Oralchirurgie gehören ebenso dazu wie Experten für Praxis- und Businessmanagement oder Kommunikation.
Brigitte Hofbeck erklärt: „Sie alle wissen, welchen Herausforderungen sich junge Uni-Absolventen ohne Praxiserfahrung gegenübersehen. Die Mentoren teilen ihr Fachwissen und ihre Erfahrungen aus dem Praxisalltag und stehen den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern auch nach dem jeweiligen Curriculum beratend zur Seite.“

„Young Dentist Day“ in Bensheim
Bei einem individuell zu vereinbarenden „Young Dentist Day“ wird das YOU-Programm Interessenten im letzten Uni-Semester vorgestellt, und es wird ein Hands-On zu einem Wahlthema angeboten. Zudem erleben die Besucher bei einer Führung durch den weltweit größten dentalen Produktionsstandort und den modernen Showroom in Bensheim alle Bereiche der Zahnmedizin. Der Netzwerkgedanke ist ein zentraler Aspekt von YOU. Brigitte Hofbeck: „Über das Programm entsteht eine Community mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die in der gleichen Situation sind – und die Tipps geben können, wie sie ihre erste Zeit in der Praxis gemeistert haben.“ YOU startet zunächst 2021 in Deutschland, danach sollen Österreich und die Schweiz folgen.
