Dentsply Sirona presenta le vincitrici dello Smart Integration Award 2021: un riconoscimento alle donne innovative in odontoiatria
Dentiste e odontotecniche di tutto il mondo hanno presentato le loro idee per integrare le tecnologie digitali negli studi e nei laboratori odontotecnici del futuro e migliorare l’esperienza di trattamento per i pazienti. Alla cerimonia di premiazione hanno partecipato 90 candidati, selezionati da una giuria internazionale composta da dirigenti di Dentsply Sirona e da rinomati esperti esterni. I vincitori sono stati premiati in cinque categorie: “Flusso di lavoro clinico digitale”, “Comunicazione digitale con il paziente”, “Controllo e prevenzione innovativi delle infezioni”, “Gestione delle apparecchiature dentali” e “Cooperazione intelligente tra laboratorio e dentista”.
Le categorie di innovazione nel campo dell’odontoiatria digitale sono state ampliate quest’anno a causa dell’elevato livello di interesse globale. Anche il pool di candidati è stato più ampio: per la prima volta hanno potuto candidarsi anche dentiste e odontotecniche degli Stati Uniti. Con lo Smart Integration Award, Dentsply Sirona vuole rendere giustizia alla crescente percentuale di donne nelle professioni odontoiatriche, promuovere le loro competenze e migliorare le loro opportunità di carriera.
Focus sul flusso di lavoro digitale
Due delle vincitrici dello Smart Integration Award di quest’anno sono la Dott.ssa Shivi Gupta di San Diego, USA, e Christine Trautmann di Darmstadt, Germania. La Dott.ssa Gupta ha vinto il premio nella categoria “Comunicazione digitale con il paziente”. In tre descrizioni di casi esemplari, l’esperta di CAD/CAM ha mostrato come ottiene un elevato successo estetico e funzionale nei trattamenti che effettua nel suo studio utilizzando un flusso di lavoro completamente digitale. Ciò le consente inoltre di offrire ai pazienti un’esperienza di trattamento efficiente e confortevole e risultati precisi. Christine Trautmann ha convinto la giuria nella categoria “Cooperazione intelligente tra laboratorio e dentista” con la sua presentazione di un processo d’ordine completamente digitalizzato tra dentista e laboratorio. “I flussi di lavoro digitalizzati end-to-end sono ancora una visione in questo campo, ma molto desiderabile”, ha affermato la Trautmann nell’intervista. “Questo perché facilitano la comunicazione tra le due parti allo stesso modo e danno agli odontotecnici la possibilità di soddisfare ancora meglio le esigenze di restauro individuali”.
La Dott.ssa Terri Dolan, Vice President e Chief Clinical Officer di Dentsply Sirona, vede un grande potenziale nello Smart Integration Award: “L’interesse significativo delle donne in tutto il mondo ci mostra quanto siano importanti premi come questo. Riconoscono i risultati e aumentano la fiducia professionale, aiutandoci a promuovere la parità di genere in odontoiatria per supportare la prossima generazione di donne leader”. La Dolan, che è lei stessa una dentista, è responsabile del programma di sviluppo del Key Opinion Leader Network presso Dentsply Sirona.
La Prof.ssa Ihsane Ben Yahya, Presidente della World Dental Federation FDI, ha partecipato alla cerimonia di premiazione come ospite d’onore. Anche lei è convinta che iniziative come lo Smart Integration Award aumenteranno l’influenza delle donne in odontoiatria: “Sono certa che le vincitrici di stasera saranno le leader di domani. E che le donne qui riunite aiuteranno a spianare la strada per supportare i pazienti ovunque con soluzioni e idee innovative che possono rivoluzionare il nostro settore.” Sostenere e dare potere alle donne in odontoiatria è l’obiettivo comune della FDI e di Dentsply Sirona.
Formazione avanzata e networking internazionale
Subito dopo la cerimonia di premiazione, le vincitrici dello Smart Integration Award 2021 hanno intrapreso un programma di formazione per esperti di due giorni composto da sessioni di formazione, workshop e seminari su numerosi argomenti specialistici relativi ai trattamenti. Il programma è progettato per consentire alle donne di attingere al grande potenziale delle tecnologie digitali in odontoiatria. Inoltre, il programma di esperti promuove il networking internazionale tra le donne in odontoiatria. Le vincitrici dello Smart Integration Award entrano automaticamente a far parte dello “Smart Integration Network”. I membri di questa rete contribuiscono con conoscenze pratiche e quindi esperte a sviluppare ulteriormente i prodotti Dentsply Sirona esistenti e a trovare soluzioni nuove e innovative.
Obiettivi aziendali: integrazione ed equità
Oltre allo Smart Integration Award, Dentsply Sirona si impegna a fondo per pari diritti, pari opportunità e sostenibilità. Diverse iniziative per le donne sostengono il loro sviluppo nelle professioni odontoiatriche e rendono visibili i loro risultati. Una di queste è “First to 50”, un programma globale per promuovere le donne come relatrici. Ha lo scopo di connettere le donne a coach professionisti per supportare il loro sviluppo professionale e consentire loro di diventare relatrici. Altre misure riguardano il miglioramento delle opportunità di networking e condivisione di esperienze durante tavole rotonde e conferenze. Per ottenere inclusione e pari opportunità per tutti i dipendenti all’interno dell’azienda, Dentsply Sirona ha lanciato gli Employee Resource Group (ERG), gruppi di interesse per promuovere l’equità, la diversità e l’inclusione. Questi includono il gruppo “DS Women”, che è stato fondato nell’ottobre 2020 e conta già più di 750 membri provenienti da 30 nazioni. L’obiettivo dichiarato di DS Women è promuovere un maggior numero di donne in posizioni di leadership in Dentsply Sirona.
