I flussi digitali nell’odontoiatria 2.0: dalle soluzioni chairside alla collaborazione con l’odontotecnico
La crescita dei flussi digitali nel settore odontoiatrico è oggi protagonista di una rivoluzione che ha offerto l’accesso a procedure di trattamento più semplici, più veloci e riproducibili, aumentando la sicurezza e la qualità estetico/funzionale del risultato.
Per i professionisti del settore dentale si apre dunque un ventaglio di opzioni percorribili, scegliendo tra un flusso digitale che si svolge interamente in studio (definito “chairside”) ed uno che vede il coinvolgimento del laboratorio odontotecnico (“labside”).
Il flusso di lavoro chairside trova la sua massima espressione nel sistema CEREC di Dentsply Sirona. A partire dalla presa d’impronta digitale con Omnicam, passando attraverso la progettazione del restauro con il software CEREC 4.5, fino ad arrivare alla realizzazione del restauro con il fresatore MC X/MC XL e all’eventuale sinterizzazione nel forno SpeedFire. Il sistema integrato CEREC offre ai pazienti la possibilità di realizzare un trattamento completo in un’unica seduta, creando il concetto di “Single Visit Dentistry”.
Per i casi più complessi (come ad esempio ponti estesi o su impianti), Dentsply Sirona offre soluzioni dedicate che richiedono l’utilizzo di materiali quali metalli, compositi, fibre o ossido di zirconio. Tali trattamenti prevedono il diretto coinvolgimento del laboratorio odontotecnico, per cui il dentista effettua la scansione intraorale con la telecamera digitale Omnicam Connect e la invia al laboratorio odontotecnico tramite il portale Connect. Quindi l’odontotecnico inserisce la scansione con il software inLab 18.0 e si dedica alla progettazione del restauro protesico, per poi fresarlo tramite il fresatore da laboratorio inLab MCX5 e successivamente finalizzarlo in base alla tipologia di materiale utilizzato (se ad esempio è stato utilizzato l’ossido di zirconio, questo dovrà essere sinterizzato nel forno inFire HTC Super Speed).
