Intervista a Maria Berardini La mia storia in Dentsply Sirona
Buongiorno Maria, abbiamo recentemente letto della tua assunzione come Talent Acquisition Specialist, nel Center of Excellence Talent Acquisition EMEA. Vuoi parlarci del percorso di carriera che ti ha portata a raggiungere questo traguardo?
La mia storia professionale è uguale a quella di tante persone che hanno risentito della crisi economica e occupazionale che ha colpito il nostro Paese negli ultimi anni: dal 2008 in poi ho sempre lavorato in grandi aziende multinazionali, ma sempre con contratti a tempo determinato, senza mai arrivare ad una stabilizzazione, ogni volta per via di un taglio del personale o di un blocco delle assunzioni. Ma da quando sono arrivata in DS la mia storia ha preso una piega diversa: anche qui ho cominciato con un contratto a tempo determinato, per una sostituzione maternità, ma la trasparenza, il rispetto per i dipendenti e l’attenzione al merito che contraddistinguono questa azienda mi hanno fatto sentire subito a casa. E l’opportunità di restare è arrivata quando si è aperta una posizione in linea con il mio profilo, che mi avrebbe permesso, se avessi superato la selezione, di continuare a fare il lavoro che amo, in un’azienda di cui sposo pienamente i valori.
Contemporaneamente alla selezione, però, la vita ti aveva riservato un altro evento meraviglioso, che l’avrebbe cambiata per sempre.
Sì, ho scoperto di essere incinta di una coppia di gemelli, poco dopo aver ricevuto la comunicazione che ero stata scelta per la posizione a cui tenevo tanto. Non nascondo il fatto che, quando sono andata in maternità, con il contratto a tempo determinato ancora in corso, immaginavo che l’azienda avrebbe preferito scegliere un’altra persona per quel ruolo, piuttosto che aspettare il mio ritorno. Ecco perché quando ho ricevuto la chiamata per andare a firmare il contratto, stavolta a tempo indeterminato, con una data di inizio che mi avrebbe anche permesso di gestire tranquillamente i primi mesi di vita dei miei figli, ho pensato di essere una donna e una professionista fortunata!
Dentsply Sirona ha fatto la differenza
Purtroppo è triste dirlo, ma in un Paese dove si sente ancora troppo spesso parlare di dimissioni firmate in bianco, licenziamenti durante il periodo di maternità e dove c’è ancora una forte discriminazione nei confronti delle donne, tanto che spesso ci si sente domandare ai colloqui di lavoro se si intende avere figli o meno, quello che mi è successo lo considero una “Fortuna”. E la “Fortuna” più grande, per me, è stata l’incontro con Dentsply Sirona: un’azienda che fa del principio delle pari opportunità non solo una dichiarazione di intenti, ma che si impegna a tradurlo, ogni giorno, in comportamenti concreti che mettano al primo posto il rispetto e la valorizzazione della persona e del merito. Per questo vorrei ringraziare l’azienda, tutti i miei colleghi, e soprattutto la mia manager, che ha creduto in me e che mi ha dato un’opportunità che, purtroppo, ancora oggi, molte donne non hanno.
