ACCT Forum, l’approccio olistico al paziente
Roma ha ospitato lo scorso 28 e 29 Settembre ACCT - Advancing Continence Care Together – Forum, il primo evento internazionale fondato e organizzato da Wellspect HealthCare dedicato a scienza, industria e professionisti sanitari. Lo scopo di ACCT è condividere, interagire e discutere il modo migliore per sviluppare la cura della continenza a vantaggio dei nostri utilizzatori in tutto il mondo. ACCT Forum ha visto la partecipazione di infermieri specializzati nella cura di disfunzioni vescicali e/o intestinali provenienti da Italia, Francia e Spagna. Il programma dell’Advancing Continence Care Together (ACCT) ha promosso l’approccio olistico nella cura della vescica e dell’intestino: due giorni per conoscere e confrontare le buone pratiche, rivolgendo particolare attenzione all’esperienza del paziente e alla relazione di reciproca influenza tra vescica e intestino nei pazienti che soffrono di vescica e intestino neurogeno, relazione che può essere a volte sottovalutata.
Ad ACCT Forum hanno partecipato circa 200 professionisti sanitari che hanno ascoltato con interesse e coinvolgimento le 10 relazioni dei loro colleghi e alla panel discussion finale, intervenendo con domande e commenti puntuali durante tutto l’evento.
Giulio Del Popolo dell’Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Careggi di Firenze, ha aperto l’ACCT forum, dando l’inquadramento medico-scientifico del simposio e ha delineato al meglio lo scenario delle disfunzioni vescicali e intestinali e le reciproche influenze, per ottenere un “B&B (Bladder and Bowel) di qualità”.
Si sono poi susseguite le relazioni dei team infermieristici di Negrar, Tolosa, Toledo, Parigi, Montecatone, Matera e Barcellona. Ognuno ha raccontato la sua esperienza in merito alla gestione delle disfunzioni vescicali e intestinali, alle sinergie tra questi due ambiti e la prevenzione delle UTI. L’argomento principale è stato il punto di vista del paziente: casi reali, pratiche ed esperienze cliniche, formazione, assistenza e qualità di vita.
Simone Bajardo e Roberto Gagliardi hanno rivolto la propria attenzione alla gestione della vescica e dell’intestino delle persone con lesione midollare. Il Prof. Xavier Gamé di Tolosa ha presentato il percorso sanitario regionale per la gestione dei disturbi del pavimento pelvico nella Sclerosi Multipla, analizzandone impostazione e impatto clinico. Maria Jesús Bocos e Ana María Escobar dell’Unità spinale di Toledo si sono occupate di un argomento delicatissimo: “La vescica e l’intestino nei pazienti pediatrici e adolescenti”, mentre Eliane Tan dell’Ospedale Tenon ha parlato dei vantaggi del programma di educazione terapeutica all’auto-cateterismo intermittente. Erica Poletti e Roberta Manara dell’Istituto di Montecatone hanno portato l’attenzione sulla gestione intestinale e in particolare sull’educazione terapeutica alla irrigazione transanale.
Il secondo giorno ha preso il via con la condivisione dell’esperienza di un gruppo di infermieri che hanno partecipato al progetto pluriennale “Wellspect Meeting”, e che hanno parlato delle “buone pratiche” per la presa in carico della persona che necessita di cateterismo intermittente. A seguire Davide Di Prima dell’Ospedale di Matera ha portato il dibattito sui pazienti con ipertrofia prostatica benigna che necessitano di cateterismo intermittente, mentre Emilie Blouet dell’Ospedale Tenon ha affrontato il tema dell’autocateterismo nei pazienti anziani e del follow-up di lungo termine. In chiusura, Ana Herraiz e Laura Rua hanno raccontato la prima esperienza con Navina Smart, il sistema per l’irrigazione transanale.
Non sono mancati momenti emozionali, grazie alla partecipazione di alcuni ospiti speciali. Il primo giorno Lary Leon Molina, giornalista e direttore del Canale TV Fan3 della Fondazione ATRESMEDIA per i bambini ricoverati in ospedale, ha affrontato il tema della “disabilità” come opportunità, come sfida. Il secondo giorno hanno portato la loro testimonianza tre atleti paraolimpici: Federica Maspero, Fabio Raimondi, Jean Pascal Laffont, questi ultimi anche testimonial di Wellspect per l’Italia e la Francia. Attraverso le loro storie hanno racconteranno come la disabilità, lungi dal rappresentare una limitazione, possa costituire a volte la chiave di volta per accedere a una dimensione del proprio essere non sperimentata (né forse sperimentabile) prima.
