Orgogliosi del feedback dei clienti per le protesi digitali
Essere al servizio dei laboratori odontotecnici è da tempo parte dell'attività di Dentsply Sirona. Nel 2018, diverse parti dell'azienda si sono riunite per formalizzare quello che ora è noto come gruppo DS Lab. Oggi il team offre un'incredibile gamma di prodotti e soluzioni che migliorano i flussi di lavoro per i tecnici di laboratorio e hanno cambiato il modo in cui gli studi dentistici comunicano e lavorano con i laboratori scelti.
Il gruppo Lab lavora per gli odontotecnici di tutto il mondo, che operano in laboratori di ogni dimensione. In stretta collaborazione con le Country Commercial Organizations (CCO), DS Lab offre tutto, dalle attrezzature, ai software, ai materiali, alla formazione necessaria per il successo di laboratori e odontotecnici al servizio dei propri clienti dentisti.
Il team Lab è composto da circa 1.500 dipendenti. Hanno goduto di numerosi successi recenti, incluso lo sviluppo di flussi di lavoro digitali per la fresatura e la stampa di materiali per protesi totali. Per saperne di più sulle tendenze di mercato rilevanti e sull'emozionante innovazione più recente di DS Lab nelle protesi digitali, Spotlight ha posto due domande al Vice Presidente di Dentsply Sirona Lab, Julie Mroziak:
Quali sono le tendenze e i fattori più importanti che influenzano i clienti dei laboratori odontotecnici di cui i dipendenti dovrebbero essere a conoscenza?
Julie Mroziak: La trasformazione digitale dei laboratori odontotecnici e degli studi dentistici è piuttosto dinamica e ha reso ancora più importante per il business e i dipendenti Lab comprendere le tendenze che stanno accadendo per consentirci di concentrarci sui giusti sviluppi e innovazioni di prodotto per soddisfare le loro esigenze. I laboratori sono digitali da molti anni nel segmento delle corone e dei ponti. Con il nostro sistema inLab di software di progettazione, scanner desktop e attrezzature per il fresaggio, oltre a una vasta gamma di materiali digitali, come la zirconia Cercon e la vetro ceramica ad alta resistenza Celtra Duo, abbiamo una posizione forte per stabilire flussi di lavoro digitali in altri segmenti della protesi.
Di fronte a questa trasformazione digitale, dobbiamo conoscere e comprendere i principali flussi di lavoro di laboratorio per essere anche un partner innovativo per il loro processo nel passaggio dalla fabbricazione analogica a quella digitale di protesi totali digitali. Le tendenze e le situazioni di base nei paesi sono diverse, ma ci sono alcuni punti in comune. A causa del trend di consolidamento dei laboratori, la dimensione dei laboratori sta cambiando. Alcuni laboratori stanno diventando più grandi e altri più piccoli sono focalizzati su apparecchiature e procedure di nicchia. Con il numero di laboratori che chiudono le loro porte, ci sono meno odontotecnici nella maggior parte dei mercati. È sempre più difficile per i laboratori assumere tecnici qualificati per la loro attività di protesi. E sono sotto pressione economica per mantenere la consegna di restauri e protesi di alta qualità a un prezzo accessibile.
Dobbiamo comprendere le differenze da mercato a mercato con le nostre organizzazioni commerciali nazionali per assicurarci di avere le tecnologie, i materiali, i servizi e gli strumenti giusti per questa transizione del mercato. Dobbiamo anche assicurarci di supportare i laboratori in questa trasformazione digitale con i loro dentisti. Li sosterremo con la formazione e il training per renderli esperti in questo segmento ed essere un partner forte per loro. Il nostro nuovo software inLab 20.0 e il Connect Case Portal saranno di supporto a questo scopo.
Di quali tecnologie e innovazioni dovrebbero essere maggiormente consapevoli i dipendenti dell'azienda?
JM: Ci sono così tante innovazioni straordinarie e dinamiche di nuovi prodotti nel settore Lab. Di recente abbiamo lanciato il nostro inLab SW 20.0 con un flusso di lavoro completo per la progettazione di protesi digitali per casi full-overfull. La sua indicazione di protesi totale prevede anche flussi di lavoro continui, validati e aperti. Raccomandiamo sempre il flusso di lavoro continuo in cui vengono utilizzate le tecnologie Dentsply Sirona e i materiali corrispondenti dallo scanner inEos X5 e dal software inLab all'unità di fresaggio inLab MC X5. In termini di materiali, offriamo il Lucitone 199 Denture Base Disc per la fresatura della base della protesi e i denti digitali 3D IPN, appositamente sviluppati per il flusso di lavoro digitale. Tuttavia, coloro che lo desiderano possono anche lavorare in modalità convalidata e utilizzare prodotti corrispondenti dei nostri partner. E poiché inLab è ancora un sistema aperto, è anche possibile utilizzare componenti aperti di altri produttori. Forniamo un'esportazione di file in formato STL per il trasferimento dei dati.
La resina per protesi 3D con stampa digitale Lucitone è la prima base per protesi stampabile approvata dalla FDA, ad alto impatto, che è arrivata sul mercato. Il flusso di lavoro di stampa comprende cinque prodotti principali del sistema di materiali: Lucitone Digital Print 3D Denture Resin, IPN 3D Digital Denture Tein, Lucitone Digital Try-In 3D Trial Placement Resin, Lucitone Digital Fuse 3-Step 3D Denture Bonding system e inLab Speedcure Processing Unit. Collaboriamo con una società chiamata Carbon di San Francisco, in California, leader nella tecnologia di stampa. I materiali e la stampante Carbon serie M sono progettati, testati e validati per funzionare insieme. Il sistema è attualmente disponibile negli Stati Uniti e stiamo lavorando per espanderci in altri paesi in cui sono disponibili stampanti serie M Carbon.
La protesi digitale, con i nostri processi e tecnologie, ha davvero risvegliato i Key Opinion Leader che si sentono ringiovaniti lavorando con DS Lab. È stato fantastico vedere quanto sono entusiasti di collaborare con noi e far progredire la tecnologia. Di recente abbiamo accolto 30 esperti nella nostra struttura di Hanau per un evento educativo. L'importanza della protesi digitale per i laboratori è stata evidente al Lab Day del Chicago Midwinter Meeting del 2020, che si è tenuto a febbraio. Le nostre soluzioni di protesi dentarie digitali sono state il punto di discussione in fiera. Questo successo è stato possibile grazie alle persone che si sono riunite e hanno collaborato per creare un prodotto incentrato sul cliente. Tre team hanno riunito le loro competenze: da Bensheim, Germania, concentrandosi su apparecchiature inLab, software, scanner, sistemi di sinterizzazione; il gruppo di Hanau, Germania, si è concentrato sulla ceramica per veneering e sulla tecnologia della zirconia; e i colleghi della sede di York, Pennsylvania, USA si sono concentrati su tutta la stampa 3D e i materiali relativi alla protesi per lavorare insieme attraverso fusi orari e geografie differenti. Vogliamo assumere il ruolo di leader nel campo della protesi digitale. Come prossimo passo nella collaborazione, stiamo esaminando come integrare in futuro i nostri partner del team Implant nei nostri flussi di lavoro e formazione.
