Indagine mondiale sull’Engagement
Engagement…. Che cosa significa?
Il primo significato che ci viene in mente della parola inglese engagement è “fidanzamento”! Quando pensiamo ad una persona engaged la immaginiamo appassionata ed intensamente presa da ciò che fa e da come si sente. Ma allora riferendoci al lavoro cosa c’entra il fidanzamento?
Dopo tre mesi nei quali si è parlato di engagement abbiamo capito che si tratta di qualche cosa che va oltre la soddisfazione sul posto di lavoro ed ha a che fare con quanto siamo disposti a dare nel lavoro, è il nostro “margine di contribuzione volontaria”, quel quid che ci fa dare qualcosa in più per contribuire al successo del team e della azienda.
A che punto siamo di questa attività?
Il progetto sta marciando come richiesto e previsto da HR Corporate. In Italia, quasi il 90% degli intervistati ha risposto al questionario, percentuale superiore al buon risultato del resto del mondo.
Le domande della Survey sulll’Engagement identificano facilmente 4 aree differenti di forza o di opportunità di miglioramento dell’engagement: contributo individuale, bisogni personali, lavoro di team e crescita. Le stesse appartengono ad una gerarchia in qualche modo analoga alla gerarchia dei bisogni quali dare, avere, appartenere e crescere. Le prime sei domande del questionario appartengono alle aree di contributo individuale e ai bisogni personali che caratterizzano maggiormente l’impegno complessivo rispetto alle ultime sei e sono quindi quelle su cui maggiormente concentrarci.
Cosi come i nostri colleghi internazionali abbiamo da lavorare su questo concetto soprattutto in un momento nel quale due culture aziendali si stanno consolidando e dove l’engagement costituisce un elemento essenziale per un successo rapido e duraturo. Dopo aver completato la analisi dei risultati dei diversi team abbiamo lavorato per costruirci una fotografia dello stato dell’engagement della squadra.
Abbiamo quindi completato, come richiesto, la stesura del piano di azione e ci stiamo apprestando alla messa in atto delle azioni correttive. Sicuramente il concetto di engagement introdotto con la survey Gallup ci ha colto impreparati nel costruire un percorso che ha per obiettivo il miglioramento del coinvolgimento nel lavoro. La sfida per ognuno di noi è di apprendere nuovi concetti attraverso l’enorme mole di materiale formativo/informativo che ci ha messo a disposizione Gallup all’interno della nostra area riservata e di costruire le nostre competenze anche attraverso il confronto interno e la condivisione delle esperienze migliori.
Cosa ci aspetta?
Sicuramente un po’ di fatica come in ogni processo di cambiamento che si rispetti. Il cambiamento di un modo di lavorare fra di noi e nel rapporto fra collaboratore e responsabile in cui avere maggiore attenzione alla persona, al fornire riscontri positivi di un lavoro ben fatto, di sentire che il nostro lavoro sta contribuendo alla crescita della azienda.
Porteremo avanti le attività definite nel nostro piano di azione e misureremo il risultato che producono e poi,fra meno di un anno, ripeteremo la survey percapire se stiamo andando nella direzione giusta.
Perché quello che conta, come sempre, è il risultato!
