Margherita Gallo e Vincenzo Capuano partecipano al percorso di ricerca ideato dalla Società del Marketing Lab
Un progetto che ha visto la partecipazione di diversi manager di aziende italiane e multinazionali, finalizzato ad individuare quali sono state le cause scatenanti del fenomeno del Low cost e con quali azioni concrete sarà possibile invertire la tendenza ad abbassare sempre di più i prezzi e i margini delle aziende.
Il percorso di ricerca, che ha visto la partecipazione per Dentsply Sirona di Margherita Gallo e Vincenzo Capuano, è stato articolato in 4 incontri distribuiti tra febbraio e settembre 2019 e le evidenze dell’intero percorso sono state raccolte all’interno di un libro “Low cost: quanto costa costare poco“, presentato il 5 novembre presso il Reale Circolo Canottieri Tevere Remo di Roma.
La ricerca si è basata sulla metodologia Delphi che consiste nel sottoporre una serie di questionari ad un gruppo ristretto di partecipanti con l’intento di stimolarli ad esprimere risposte individuali che vengono poi sottoposte in forma anonima al vaglio di tutti, in modo che il livello di validazione di ogni risposta sia determinato esclusivamente dal suo contenuto, indipendentemente da chi l’ha espressa.
I temi trattati sono stati il prezzo, inteso come strumento utilizzato dall’azienda per comunicare la qualità del prodotto o come mezzo di promozione; il cambiamento nel percorso di acquisto del cliente e l’impatto di questo fenomeno sulle finalità dell’economia, quali la produzione della ricchezza e la sua distribuzione.
Nonostante il contesto abbia favorito il diffondersi del Low cost, con clienti sempre più smaliziati e inclini a cercare l’affare, grazie anche allo sviluppo dei canali digitali e una classe media in difficoltà, le aziende possono fermare questa corsa al ribasso. Come? Cambiando la mission del Marketing che deve di nuovo focalizzarsi, come nel passato, sulle leve su cui poggiare la richiesta di un prezzo più alto; ritrovando la capacità di intercettare la dimensione emotiva del percorso di acquisto del cliente; comunicando il brand e tornando a parlare di contenuti e di qualità. Solo così sarà possibile spostare l’attenzione del cliente dal prezzo. rendendo memorabile la sua esperienza di acquisto.
