Il nuovo business di ortodonzia Intervista a Emanuele Ricci
Buongiorno Emanuele, puoi parlarci brevemente del tuo percorso di carriera prima di entrare a far parte di Dentsply Sirona Italia?
Quando sono entrato a farne parte, il settore dentale era per me un mondo sconosciuto e soprattutto non avrei mai potuto pensare di rimanerci così a lungo. Dopo una serie di lavori di quelli in cui spingi la macchina per farla partire, sono saltato su ed è cominciato il mio percorso nel 2005. Ero un agente e ricordo quanto sia stata decisiva quell’esperienza. Perché capisci sempre in ritardo, che la vita ha dei modi un po’ bruschi quando ha fretta di insegnarti ciò che credi di non dover imparare. Ma poi fortunatamente ti resta tutto.
Dopo gli impianti gli allineatori, con tutti gli scettici. Ricordo ancora che il capo di allora mi disse: “Emanuele, fino ad ora su Roma nessuno è durato più di un anno, non sappiamo come andrà questo progetto ma è qualcosa di completamente nuovo”. Vista la tragicità della cosa, accettai. E funzionò, tanto che quella visione divenne un business da cui oggi non si può tornare indietro. All’ennesimo rifiuto costruito con frasi fatte o stanchezza emotiva, trovavo sempre un pioniere disposto a vedere oltre. Posso dire che la seconda cosa che ho imparato è che quando ti fai carico di un’idea ci sarà sempre qualcuno a farti compagnia per costruirla. Così si è tracciata una linea di persone con lo stesso spirito di innovazione che rifiutava ogni tipo di pensiero limitante. Gli anni che vennero, vissero di trasformazioni continue, all’insegna di progetti ambiziosi, fino al punto in cui è arrivata Dentsply Sirona. Ed ecco che la vita punto e linea ti appare come un cerchio, e guardando avanti trovi un senso al tuo percorso.
Nel tuo attuale ruolo di Business Development Manager Ortodonzia, quali sono gli obiettivi che intendi portare a termine per questo primo anno?
Il 2021 è l’anno di nascita della struttura SureSmile e la sua integrazione nei flussi operativi, ma anche quello in cui far prendere quota al business. Nei prossimi cinque anni vogliamo espandere il mercato degli allineatori e diventare il principale fornitore di prodotti e servizi ortodontici digitali in Italia. Si tratta di un’ambizione da condividere con i nostri clienti sulla base di due driver principali: eccellenza in ortodonzia e interdisciplinarità per i GP (gli odontoiatri che non hanno conseguito la specializzazione ortodontica). Questa visione riflette un progetto colto, una comunicazione rivoluzionaria, in cui il digitale è qualcosa di più di un singolo prodotto o servizio ma un sistema di lavoro globale a 360°, imprescindibile per il mondo odontoiatrico.
SureSmile è la piattaforma ideale per i GP, perché fornisce un accesso facile e sicuro alle terapie con allineatori. Ma lo è anche per l’ortodontista che può raggiungere la massima personalizzazione della terapia anche nei casi più complessi. La diagnosi del paziente è al centro di un’unica osservazione digitale. Nessuna competizione tra GP e consulente ortodontico, ma integrazione competenze e complementarità dei ruoli. Nei prossimi anni sempre più GP soddisferanno la crescente domanda di allineatori estetici da parte dei pazienti adulti. A loro volta gli ortodontisti, grazie a SureSmile, si avvarranno di uno strumento di diagnosi, così completo da migliorare le terapie dei loro pazienti: adulti e bambini potranno ricorrere a soluzioni estetiche su allineatori, ma anche ricercare l’efficienza più consona in quelle ibride o tradizionali. Ad oggi siamo gli unici al mondo con un’offerta integrata per lo studio odontoiatrico.
Parliamo del tuo team: chi sono i CIS e quali sono le loro mansioni?
I Customer Implementation Specialist sostengono i nostri clienti affinchè raggiungano una piena comprensione dell’intero flusso di lavoro con SureSmile. Il dentista è un imprenditore inconsapevole, qualcuno che ha studiato altro e si è trovato a fare anche il manager di uno Studio. Il ruolo del CIS si inquadra in questa direzione: un consulente capace di offrire SureSmile come strumento innovativo di crescita. Ciò significa proiettare i nostri clienti in un ecosistema digitale, concordando il percorso da fare attraverso priorità ed obiettivi disegnati sulle esigenze individuali. Il ruolo principale del CIS è quello di offrire il suo supporto per la costruzione del business, passando dalla formazione clinica agli aspetti economici, fino all’armonizzazione della comunicazione tra staff clinico e non, e tra studio e pazienti. Il CIS disegna quindi un percorso di attività, finalizzate al raggiungimento degli obiettivi che il nostro cliente vuole raggiungere insieme a Dentsply Sirona.
