Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers is recognizing female dentists for their ideas or success stories on how to make their workflows around their treatment center more efficient and comfortable.

Dentsply Sirona knows the value of involving experts from the beginning of the development process of its products and services. This way, innovations are specifically tailored to the needs of customers. Experts who partner with Dentsply Sirona have a variety of opportunities including participation in focus groups, as beta testers or advisory board members, and also as educators and ambassadors. They are also encouraged to share their experiences and expertise at Dentsply Sirona training events and congresses.

Dentistry is experiencing a significant change in gender distribution and female representation. For students entering dental school in the U.S., the ratio is approaching gender equality. A gender shift is expected to occur in Europe by 2020 among practicing dentists. These shifts are occurring in many regions around the world. For example, in Brazil, by 2020, 56% of dentists will be women. These trends make it all the more important for Dentsply Sirona to listen closer to what motivates female dentist.

Smart Integration Award

As the heart of the dental practice, the treatment center plays a crucial role in supporting the dentists workflows. For 2019, an award is offered to female dentists for the first time for their innovative use of smart integration. To apply for the award, dentists fill out a questionnaire online describing a success story or their vision for the future on networking and integration of the treatment center. An international jury will evaluate submissions.

The responses will help Dentsply Sirona to learn more about how women use the treatment center to optimize their workflow and for their ideas about how additional features could further benefit the clinician and patient experience.

The winners of the Smart Integration Award also qualify to participate in the exclusive Expert Development Program for 2019. The program aims to build strong partnerships with practicing dentists around the world and covers topics such as workflow, networking, ergonomics, integrated endodontics and implantology, hygiene, as well as practice management, communication and leadership development.
