Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers intuitively support the endodontic workflow
The team of Treatment Centers has always put a lot of effort into meeting the needs of clinicians who perform endodontic procedures by integrating therapy functions specifically for endodontics into the Treatment Center.
Endodontic procedures are characterized by long set-up times and they are physically and mentally demanding for the clinician who might face challenges such as complex root canals with minimal margins for error. Hence, clinicians understandably have high requirements regarding equipment in this field of dentistry. The equipment has to improve the workflow by minimizing set-up times, provide intuitive support, be ergonomic and facilitate good communication with the patient.
Dentsply Sirona treatment centers are inspired by these needs, as they maximize efficiency by minimizing the set-up times with the integrated endo function. A file library with various file systems and preprogrammed settings gives the clinician step-by-step guidance during the treatment. The file library even includes reciprocal file systems and the new Dentsply Sirona file system TruNatomy. With Intego treatment centers, up to six files can be programmed individually. An ApexLocator is also integrated for electrical depth measurement in the root canal, helping the dentist visualize the progress of the file in the canal. Recently, the measurement behavior of the ApexLocator was optimized with regard to its resistance against fluids in the root canal, enabling more precise measurement of the physiological apex with improved approaching behavior. For additional visual support, the ApexLocator can also be pictured on a Sivision monitor of Teneo and Sinius Treatment Centers in combination with SIDEXIS 4 imaging software.
Intuitive for the user
An intuitive piece of equipment supports the clinician so well that he or she does not even notice the equipment. With the integrated Endo function of Dentsply Sirona treatment centers, the unit can be transformed for use in endodontic treatments with just one keystroke. There are no additional cables or foot controls required, as the integration enables use of the existing foot control and motor.
Comfortable for the patient, ergonomic for the practitioner
Patient comfort is important and individual. That’s why Dentsply Sirona’s treatment centers provide easy access by lowering to a position that makes it easy for people of all ages to get on and off from. Armrests and the dentist element can be moved out of the patient’s reach making the treatment center easy to enter and exit. For the practitioner, the treatment centers have optimized reach distances enabling easy coordination and variable positioning of the dentist element, assistant element and tray. The adjustments make it easy to set up for both two and four-handed dentistry.
Creating a comfortable environment is a good step toward building trust and facilitating communication between patient and practitioner. The treatment center’s professional patient communication system helps to create a trust-based relationship between patient and practitioner by explaining treatment processes and steps. Together with seamless digital integration of the award-winning imaging software SIDEXIS 4, x-rays, intraoral camera images and planning views can be easily accessed via the user interface of the treatment center.
The International Dental Show is the biggest stage in dentistry and is always an incredible opportunity to show off the ingenuity and superiority of Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers’ product design and quality. At the 2019 IDS which took place in Cologne, Germany, Treatment Centers showed how its product models support ideal endodontic workflows by integrating specific functions. Integration translates into less set up time and therefore better use of the treatment room for the practice overall.
With our integrated Endo function we are aiming for clinicians who are looking for efficient, intuitive and infection prevention-safe workflows. At Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers, we understand intuitive support as the situation where practitioners do not even actively notice the supporting equipment during treatments.
