IDS or the International Dental Show is the world’s leading dental industry trade fair and is organized every 2 years in Cologne, Germany.

Over 155,000 visitors from all around the world gathered during one week to discover the finest products from leading dental companies.
As the leader in dentistry, we launched 50 new products during the show, and Endo-wise the 3D Endo software as well as glide path files (WAVE ONE GOLD GLIDER and R-PILOT), and the new generation of the X-Smart iQ APP.
The 2017 event had a special meaning for us at Dentsply Sirona, as this was the first time we presented ourselves as one company after the merger. In fact, we could resume the whole IDS as the International Dentsply Sirona Show!
We also achieved record sales for both the Dentsply Sirona and VDW brands, which is a testimony to the promise to our customers of better, safer and faster dentistry.
Finally, we want to thank everyone who contributed to this success, from the R&D team that developed the products to the Marketing and Sales teams that led commercialization, Regulatory Affairs and Quality which enabled product registrations and release as well as Operations that ensured timely availability of the products.
Now that IDS 2017 is over, the best ever, we are already looking forward to IDS 2019!

Our Customer Journey at the Booth
In our quest to continuously improve our partnership with the dental care professionals, we developed this new booth concept, which perfectly completes our “Partner for a Better Future” campaign. Its aim is to offer a complete visitor experience, leading the customer from the Discovery area towards the Training space and then into the Testing part of the booth.
Discovering: This area converts every visitor’s first contact with Dentsply Sirona Endodontics into an unforgettable experience. A dedicated touch screen app invites them to discover our company and our main solutions’ offering.
Training: Here we offer our visitors the possibility to follow a workshop lead by one of our famous Key Opinion Leaders on a specific technique or a recently launched product.
Testing: This is a true one to one exchange with experts who are often members of the development team.

And to close on a funny note, we also give our visitors the possibility to play an R2C™ Root to Crown memory game and puzzle.
My Companion App
Another success at IDS was the My Companion smartphone app, which allows us to:
Create workshops and trainings with a planning based on the real event organized in the workshop area
Attract people with exciting news & general information
Provide the visitors a wide range of your brochure ready to e-mail or download
Go the extra mile in providing our booth visitors a personalized section dedicated to the event location (city guide, event maps, transport maps, restaurant recommended…)
