In order to bring their training courses to even the most remote regions and customers of the country, the Dentsply Sirona Russia team launched a mobile training center to take DS World out onto the road.

With an area of 17,000,000 square kilometers, Russia is almost twice the size of the USA. For a total of eight months throughout 2019, a mobile training center in a trailer named "DS World CIS on the Road" is touring Russia. Between April and November it covers a total distance of over 25,000 km.

In every city, the specialists in the mobile training center organize events about restoration, endodontics, orthodontics, implantology, CAD/CAM, imaging and Lab. By the end of the 2019 tour, the organizers expect a total of approximately 2,500 participants in DS World CIS on the Road events. The project will continue in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan with up to 25 cities a year in 2020–2022. The huge 2019 tour includes a total of 23 stops. For every city, the team scheduled a three to five-day stay, so there is enough time for trainings, workshops and presentations of the Dentsply Sirona products, according to the customers’ wishes and needs.

The tour started in April in Stavropol, Belgorod and Voronezh. In May, the team stopped in Surgut, Tumen and Perm and in June in Magnitogorsk, Naberezny Chelny, Syktyvkar and Kirov. In August, the tour continued to Vologda, Yaroslavl, Orenburg and in September the team heads to Ulyanovsk, Penza, Saratov and Moscow, where the Primescan launch for Russia takes place at the DS World CIS event. From October into November, the tour continues to Grozny, Vladikavkaz, Pyatigorsk, Anapa, Novorossiysk and the Olympic city of Sochi.

Organizers and participants are widely sharing their experiences on social media such as Facebook and Instagram and proudly posting pictures and statements from every stop to show how great their experience and interactions were with the trailer tour. Participants are using the hashtag #thedentalroadshow to draw attention to the events. More information can be found within the DS Community.

Artem Alexeev, Marketing and Clinical Education Leader Russia & CIS noted that, “This is true teamwork. When we started working on the initiative almost 1.5 years ago, we realized it would be one of the most difficult projects we ever did. There was quite a big number of people working on it – and it was a real dream team who made it happen!” Shortly before the end of this year’s tour, the flagship DS World CIS event will take place in Moscow on the 20th and 21st of September. The Russian organizing team has come up with several ideas for this, too. The event will include a creative approach to the launch of Primescan for the CIS market. The congress program itself, with a touch of Game of Thrones, will also go beyond the usual bounds.
