More interaction and greater practicality in the DS Community
Dentsply Sirona’s digital workplace received another round of updates that provide new, exciting content and added efficiency for employees.
Earlier this year, the DS Community unveiled the first episodes of “DS Tunes”, the much-anticipated Dentsply Sirona podcast series. DS Tunes will feature diverse but relevant content that’s sure to keep listeners tuning in. The first episode was an interview with Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Cord Stähler. At the time of writing, nearly 7,000 employees had tuned in. The format makes it easy to introduce new leaders and special projects to the Company. As a podcast, it’s also a good medium for keeping up-to-date with what’s going on at the Company for employees who are often on the road.
Some episodes are available for an external audience via the audio distribution platform SoundCloud. “CEREC in Amazonia – A Smile For Brazil’s Indigenous People,” is the first episode available to the public. It shares the story of Dentsply Sirona’s support for an impressive Doctors Without Borders mission into the Amazon Rainforest region of Brazil. In addition so called Get To Know Podcasts for Cord Stähler, Eric Bruno and Dan Key were launched.

Helpful location information and a powerful new dashboard
DS Community now features an interactive World Map of Dentsply Sirona locations worldwide. This clickable map contains practical information useful when preparing for travel. In some cases, readers will also get local tips about what to see and do outside of work. Additional information includes facts about the location such as contact information, an overview of business activities and areas of business represented. There are even interviews with office leaders and employees to help personalize their workplaces, giving everyone the chance to learn about the office culture, team events and highlights that make each site unique.
A new dashboard completes the list of recent updates. Users now have a convenient way to view and access documents stored on the One Drive. Recently and frequently viewed sites are also shown providing a quick shortcut. Outlook emails and calendar are a click away as well as tasks from Planner or Sharepoint. Easy access to Yammer groups and Microsoft Teams replaces the old collaboration area. There is also the ability to customize the dashboard by checking or unchecking which elements are visible. The new dashboard is an upgrade that can make the fullfilment of tasks a lot quicker and is worth taking full advantage of.
