Dentsply Sirona Smart Integration Award
In order to develop an international network of female experts in smart integration, Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers launched The Smart Integration Award & Expert Development Program in 2019.
The aim of the award program is to honor women in dentistry who are interested in networking, digitalization and the integration of new technologies in order to optimize workflows at their treatment centers and realize more convenient and efficient processes in the dental practice.
Women dentists submitted their application via the website by answering a questionnaire and providing a picture, short video or written report of their success story or idea of a smart workflow at the heart of the practice, the treatment center. A jury consisting of both Dentsply Sirona employees and external experts evaluated the submissions.
The jury panel included: Maureen MacInnis, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Communications; Michael Geil, Group Vice President Equipment and Instruments; Terri Dolan, Chief Clinical Officer; Susanne Schmidinger, Director Global Product Management & Global Marketing Communications Treatment Centers; as well as external partners Antje Isbaner, Editor at Oemus Media AG; and Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Bauer, Managing Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, Chairman of the Fraunhofer Group for Innovation Research and Technology Officer of the State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
On November 21, 2019, the 24 winners from 7 different countries were honored and presented with trophies and certificates at a ceremony at an exclusive event location in Heidelberg, Germany. Over the next two days, the winners took part in an exciting expert development program at the Dentsply Sirona office in Bensheim, Germany. The program featured workshops and training on topics including smart integration, practice optimization, and employee management. The participants were also invited to a guided tour of the manufacturing facility.
The Company continues to develop opportunities for training and programs specifically tailored to the needs of female dentists.
