Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers: at the forefront of innovation and individualisation at IDS 2019
At IDS 2019, Dentsply Sirona Treatment Centers shared the latest solutions and trends that were inspired by dentists’ needs. This year, the focus was on all of the details that support individual customer needs through ergonomics, workflow and design.
The treatment center is the focal point of the treatment room making its design impactful on the atmosphere of the practice while helping to set a positive tone for the relationship between patient and practitioner. When the design is just right, it helps the patient to feel at ease and makes the clinician’s work more efficient and, combined with good ergonomics, more comfortable as well. The aesthetics of Dentsply Sirona treatment centers also go hand in hand with sophisticated functions. The International Dental Show (IDS) is the most anticipated event in dentistry, taking place only once every two years. Members of the press, dental professionals, and representatives from the whole spectrum of the dental industry descended on the trade fair in Cologne, Germany from March 12-16 to learn about the latest innovations in product development and design.
Visitors to the Treatment Centers booth at IDS also had the chance to learn about several new products available for purchase. For dentists who prefer the ergonomic concept of a saddle stool, Dentsply Sirona introduced “Theo,” which features a number of customization options to suit an individual user’s needs.

A new operating light called LEDlight Plus for Intego and Intego Pro was on display showing off its intelligent design with hygiene in mind. The new operating light is full of clever features including a True Composite Mode, which deactivates the lamp’s white LEDs to reduce the blue light component to prevent premature hardening when processing light cured filling materials.

Dentsply Sirona treatment centers can adapt with a simple keystroke to meet the special needs of endodontic procedures with the integrated endo function complete with a file library and preprogrammed settings that give the clinician step-by-step guidance during treatment. A recently optimized ApexLocator is also integrated to help the dentist visualize the apex approximation of a file in the root canal.

For IDS this year, Dentsply Sirona presented a new color collection for its treatment centers premium and lounge upholstery as well as options for the stitching. New colors were researched and developed to fit different style concepts of dental practices. Certain colors reflect the natural world, others offer a more luxurious ambiance, while a third grouping are meant to be vibrant and eye-catching. The Teneo and Sinius treatment centers also have a choice of paintwork colors. Dentists also have the option of getting initials embroidered on the motorized headrest to add an even more personal touch.

In addition to the variety of new choices, Dentsply Sirona launched a limited special edition of the Teneo - the Gold Edition - featuring carbon-colored lounge upholstery with gold stitching, gold accents and an embroidered headrest in gold. The Gold Edition created a lot of buzz at the booth and was a real eye-catcher.
