Trabajar en el área de Comunicación lo hace todo más fácil. Sigo a nuestros principales clientes en las redes sociales para descubrir en lo que están interesados y para darles clic en "me gusta" y compartir sus ideas y comentarios. Nuestros clientes saben lo que sus pacientes necesitan y nos pueden ayudar a hacer nuestros esfuerzos de comunicación más eficiente para otros clientes existentes, para nuevos clientes y para los pacientes. Generar contenido valioso para nuestros clientes nos ayuda a promover nuestras soluciones y a mejorar la imagen de nuestra marca. Asimismo, esto hace más probable que nuestros clientes recomienden nuestros productos y servicios a personas de sus redes, compartiendo contenido disponible para el público.

Creo que la respuesta corta a esta pregunta es «empatía». Desde el punto de vista del paciente, tarde o temprano, todo el mundo deberá visitar a un dentista al menos una vez a lo largo de su vida. Desde esta perspectiva, puedo comprender sus dudas, miedos y emociones. Puedo ponerme en el lugar del dentista y comprender la presión y el estrés en él/ella durante el tratamiento. El miedo o el pánico del paciente pueden causar presión y estrés en el dentista. En este sentido, creo que Dentsply Sirona desempeña un papel crucial para manejar no sólo la psicología del dentista, sino también la del paciente. Creo que la alta calidad de nuestros productos y servicios, con la confianza que damos a nuestros clientes, hace la vida más fácil para ambos.

Trabajo en el área de montaje para la Instruments SBU. Esto requiere entrega puntual de piezas listas para ensamblar o ensamblajes de calidad uniforme. Aunque no tengo contacto directo con los clientes, sé que, monitoreando continuamente la calidad, evaluando datos y riesgos, mi labor los beneficia como usuarios finales. Tenerlos en mente es motivador.

En general, las operaciones y el SCM son consideradas áreas muy internas donde los costos, las cantidades, los volúmenes de residuos y la OEE son los principales estándares, en lugar de nuestros clientes y pacientes. En mi opinión, esta estrategia es perjudicial, pues el cliente es quien decide qué proveedor se gana su confianza. Las operaciones y SCM en VDW influyen mucho en su experiencia, porque somos nosotros los que producimos y entregamos el producto deseado. Puse a clientes y pacientes en el centro de nuestras acciones colgando fotos de dentistas y pacientes en nuestras oficinas de SCM y teniendo reuniones de SCM Jour Fixe frente a ellas. Formé a mis equipos en gestión "lean" y cambié nuestros KPI para orientarnos al cliente y en su satisfacción.

Cada mañana, lo primero que hago es leer las noticias sobre la industria dental. Busco artículos interesantes para publicar en las redes sociales, esta búsqueda me ayuda también a ponerme en el lugar del dentista al encontrar las noticias más relevantes. Leo casos clínicos para entender cómo la odontología y los tratamientos dentales afectan la vida de los pacientes y cómo los dentistas se enfrentan a procedimientos difíciles. Cuanto más leo, más entiendo lo importante de nuestra labor para los clientes y pacientes.

Por fortuna, mis actividades de marketing me mantienen pensando en “¿qué quieren los pacientes?” y “¿cómo podemos ayudar a los clientes a satisfacer las necesidades de los pacientes?”. Ejemplo, los empleados de oficina en ciudades como Tokyo pueden requerir más que una “sola visita al consultorio por CEREC", también «1 día de tratamiento con 2 visitas» (ir a la clínica cerca de la oficina durante el almuerzo y después del trabajo). Esto es algo único en Japón y hay que considerarlo para satisfacer a clientes y pacientes. Mi labor me ayuda a recordar a diario a clientes y pacientes, así que hago lo posible por cumplir sus expectativas.
