We asked her some questions about the course:  

Tell us about your qualification?

The Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics in the US conducts Basic Compliance &  Ethics Academies in different locations globally which are ideal for professionals with some compliance knowledge and experience who are ready to support, enhance and manage a comprehensive compliance program. They provide in-depth, classroom-style training in compliance and ethics. This was followed by a SCCE Regional Compliance Conference which was a one-day event that included general and specialty sessions, as well as ample opportunity to network with industry peers.

What were your feelings and highlights about the course?

The SCCE conferences keep me up to date on what’s happening in compliance and ethics and provide a great opportunity to network with colleagues.

Attending the SCCE Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy entirely replaced uncertainty about my new role with confidence and excitement to make a difference in the organization.

What does this certification allow you to do and contribute towards Dentsply Sirona?

Since 1999 the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® has developed criteria to determine competence in the practice of compliance and ethics across various industries and specialty areas, and recognizes individuals meeting these criteria through its compliance certification programs.  

More than 12,500 people actively hold at least one of CCB's compliance and ethics professional certifications, including an international certification for individuals who work outside the United States or those who have international affiliates.

The Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional - International (CCEP-I)® has equipped me with knowledge of relevant regulations and expertise in compliance processes sufficient to assist organizations in understanding and addressing legal obligations, and promote organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs. Becoming CCEP-I certified allows me to:

• Strengthen the credibility of the compliance programs within our organization.
• Arms me with the broad-base knowledge necessary to perform compliance functions.
• Help establish professional standards and status for compliance professionals.
• Gives our compliance-related work an advantage when interacting with other professionals in the industry.
• Recognizes hard work and dedication necessary to perform the compliance task.

Overall I was very happy to have passed this certification as it enhances my credibility within the organization, among peers and allows me to better perform my tasks in support of Dentsply Sirona.
