Education and networking in Israel – the latest DS World success
In December of 2018, the Company brought its successful Dentsply Sirona World format to Israel for a one-day event filled with detailed educational information and plenty of networking opportunities for the 400 attending dental professionals.
Following the immensely successful Dentsply Sirona World events in Orlando and Moscow, the Company held a one-day dentistry deep-dive at the striking Avenue Convention and Events Center in Israel’s Airport City. Approximately 400 dental professionals attended and were treated to a full day of knowledge sharing as well as great local food and even some entertainment during the breaks. Dentsply Sirona teamed up with its Israeli distributors Dentalon and Divident and together brought four leading international opinion leaders to give lectures covering the most important topics in dentistry today.
Dental professionals learned about the latest products and technologies.
World-class speakers, pertinent topics
Dr. Arnaldo Castellucci, Visiting Professor of Endodontics at the University of Florence Dental School, shared his expertise in a lecture titled, “Shaping root canals in the age of new cutting instruments.” He discussed how recent innovations are making endodontic treatments more predictable, and easier, while improving the probability of long-term successful outcomes. Participants had the chance to experience some of the latest rotary instruments in a hands-on session.
Using many real-world examples from his experiences in daily practice, Dr. Ian Cline gave a practical talk on the multitude of options available to dentists for restoring an endodontically treated tooth.
Speaking on aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Roberto Molinari spoke about digital processes, specifically how technology simplifies the work of the dentist in meeting patients’ expectations. Dr. Molinari’s presentation used cases describing both labside and chairside workflows.

Ergonomics is becoming a more important part of the decision-making process for dentists when evaluating equipment. Dr. Thomas Senghaas shared his view on ergonomics and focused on how an ergonomic workflow ensures economic success. Dentsply Sirona’s Treatment Centers give clinicians the ability to utilize a sophisticated foot control that leaves hands free to work on the patient. Participants learned about patient positioning, optimized working posture, and effective positioning for those assisting with procedures.
I am incredibly proud to be associated with the team that put this event together. This first-of-its-kind event for Israel combined the high quality education associated with the Dentsply Sirona name with plenty of opportunities to make new contacts in one very full day.
Networking opportunities
The well regarded Avenue Convention and Events Center has a reputation for providing great service and excellent food and it didn’t disappoint. Guests enjoyed some light entertainment during the coffee breaks in between lectures to add to the already very positive atmosphere. The organizing team held a buffet lunch to give participants the opportunity to network with one another as well as to meet with representatives from Dentsply Sirona, Dentalon, and Divident, each of whom had tables to present products and solutions.
This was the first Dentsply Sirona World branded event to take place in Israel and it was truly one that lived up to the reputation of Dentsply Sirona World. Dentist Dr. Ben Miller mentioned that the event was both a great opportunity to listen to world-class dental experts covering various fields of modern dentistry and a chance to exchange experiences with colleagues from all over the country.
