Dentsply Sirona’s transformation continues to resonate throughout the Company, as employees drive initiatives that are helping to improve the way we work, focus on our customers and support growth. This is the first in a series of articles to highlight how sites across the United States are taking steps to #OwnOurFuture.
In this article, we’re featuring some initiatives under way at the Smile Way location in York, PA. At the helm of these initiatives is Senior Operations Manager Ken Strickhouser, who sees each initiative as a valuable tool for growth, accountability and teamwork. Take a look at just a few examples of how Smile Way employees are transforming how work is done.
Encouraging collaboration
Dubbed “The PIT,” which stands for Preventive Ideation Territory, the room is designed to encourage innovative thinking and to provide an open environment for teamwork and collaboration. The Marketing team also uses the space to host customers for product focus groups, conduct team brainstorming and creative briefings, and welcome visitors into a space that allows for less formal conversations. The PIT also conveys a theme: “The PIT provides protection to the seed – until optimal conditions are achieved for GROWTH.”
