Deb Emig
On June 5, 1974, Deb Emig graduated from high school. Twenty days into her summer break, she started her first job at our College Avenue location in York, Pennsylvania.
Early in her career, Deb held various roles in the Accounting department for Duling Optical, a business that was sold in the early 1980s. Noting this is a “good company to work for,” Deb joined Corporate Finance and Treasury, taking a job coordinating the stock purchase plan.
Later, Deb accepted an Accounts Payable role with the Trubyte division, filling in for a colleague on leave. When the employee returned, Deb joined Customer Service until there was an opening in Accounts Payable/Shared Services, where she’s worked since April 2000. Currently, Deb serves as Cash Management Funding Specialist in Global Business Services.
One lesson Deb says she’s learned in her 45-year career – especially over the past decade – is being open to new opportunities to learn. “To keep in business, we have to change,” she advises.
Deb says she feels honored to work here. “I really like what I do, and the people I work with are warm and pleasant,” she explains. “I have learned a lot over the years from bosses I have respected as they respected me.”
She’s also proud to say that her daughters, Crystal Wilcox and Christie Emig, also work for Dentsply Sirona. And when she’s not in the office, Deb enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert, and two grandsons.
