SRM University - 16 Single tooth restorations at a live event in 8 hours… CEREC Rocks Chennai!

Dentsply Sirona achieved phenomenal success in a recent CEREC workshop at SRM College, Chennai.

On 24th February Dentsply Sirona successfully completed 16 chairside restorations in less than 8 hours at an event and workshop at SRM Dental College, Chennai. With this workshop our aim was to generate awareness about CAD/CAM technology at university level and to give first-hand experience of digital workflow to budding dentists.
CEREC user Dr. Sanketh K Reddy guest lecturer from Apollo White Dental Centre said, “The CAD CAM Live Hands on workshop was a great success, we had 76 Registrations out of which 16 were live patients hands on. I am sure that this program has created a positive interest among the students, College Admin and also the patients were happy to see the new technology in their locality. Not only this, the program has created vibes across Chennai Dental Colleges and other Prosthodontists regarding the Digitisation of Prosthodontic workflow.”
The SRM University (Sri Ramaswami Memorial University), formerly SRM Institute of Science and Technology, is a deemed university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The college aims at imparting excellent knowledge and skills to the students at undergraduate and post graduate levels and promotes the application of current technology and concepts in the practice of dentistry. Glide Path Preparation: A Step towards Successful Preparation of Root Canal’.

On March 6th Annual Dentists day, Dentsply Sirona hosted an Endodontics webinar with Dr. PD. Joshi with an intent to appreciate their services and provide high quality solutions that will support the needs of dental professionals pan India.
The topic of the webinar was ‘Glide Path Preparation: A Step towards Successful Preparation of Root Canal’.
Each participant was required to click on a pre provided link to register for the webinar, free of cost, to be able to listen to Dr Joshi’s presentation. More than 300 dentists registered themselves for the webinar from India and neighbouring markets. The webinar was also recorded for those who missed out and for future presentations. This will help the customers to view the recordings at a time convenient to them and even use them as reference guides. In future, you will see more webinar based lectures and workshops as participants can easily listen to their KEY OPINION LEADER from the comfort of their home or clinic.

Class II Restoration

A rapid, predictable and simplified placement technique workshop by Dr Marco Calabrese

Dentsply Sirona India conducted a hands-on workshop with Dr. Calabrese to demonstrate greatly simplified and efficient procedure for placing posterior composite restorations based on new materials and technology available today.

CELTRA PRESS TTT PROGRAM

Celtra Press TTT workshop was conducted in the LAB Training Center facililty in Degudent, Hanau from 28th to 30th March’17. This was followed by a visit to the Sirona Academy & Factory in Bensheim on 31st March 2017.

Derryl Millwood MDT, trainer for the workshop introduced the complete Celtra Press system to the participants.
Each participant prepared & finished:

Three unit anterior bridge – layering & Staining technique
Single unit fully anatomic posterior molar – Staining
Single unit anterior veneer/laminate – cutback layering/Staining technique.

The exposure to the product line included all the processes from start to finish –

Seating the wax-up on the model.
Investing the ring, burnout and divesting.
Separation of ceramic restoration using sand blaster.
Finishing, Ceramic layering & characterization using stains.

An insight into the material properties and the strong credentials of the product were shared by Dr.Vollman, Director of the Research & Material Development.

Mark Weber, Global Product Manager – Fixed Prosthetics also had an interactive session with the participants regarding their feedback about the training, the Celtra Press material & the system.
Alfred Bauer, MDM was present during the workshop and actively interacted with the participants.
