Mr. Bali, the integration process is almost complete. What is your first impression of the newly formed company?
The newly formed organisation has human resource with diverse experience and knowledge. The integration or coming of the teams together was a very natural process. Initially we had a team leadership workshop and assimilation program which helped us open up to each other so we didn’t see any difference when people started working together on synergy projects. We had tremendous success and were one of the countries who completed the synergy target.
Are you facing any challenges?
It is unfair to say that there are no challenges, but what is more important is how do we take them up and get across the tide. We started this with the initial leadership team, when the teams began working in their new roles together we organised the Mission, vision and values workshop. This exercise helped us to work as One team since the biggest challenge was to merge two cultures and then slowly the values were passed on to other employees through leaders.
Where do you see the potential in coming years?
India is an emerging market still. When it comes to dental industry we are at the initial stage where customers have just begun exploring quality healthcare along with quantity. As our tagline clearly says we are the complete dental solutions provider, since the need of the hour is one stop shop we are going to be the preferred solutions provider and manufacturer in India and neighbouring markets. We have to our advantage innovative products for digitising dentistry and provide faster, safer and better dental care to patients. Our integrated solutions are dream come true for dental practitioners. Furthermore, strong legacy of continued dental education is going to create awareness and teach young professionals to adapt to better and faster technology. I see immense potential for Dentsply Sirona in coming years.
How can the employees support DS India vision?
Individually we have a more important role to play so that the company as a whole can achieve its vision. Each and every employee should feel responsible towards their role and work as a team. All employees, irrespective of the department they belong to should work with the goal to understand customers’ needs and make them our prime focus. In summary, all of us should be customer centric in our approach and day to day dealings.
What is your plan for months ahead and this Fiscal year?
In the recent months our aim was to bring the teams together and develop opportunities to integrate product portfolios in order to provide turnkey solutions to dental professionals. The structure is now complete and our second aim is expansion. We have already invested in a state –of-the-art office space at the prestigious DLF Cyber City corporate park with a vision to provide high quality solutions that support the needs of dental professionals in India and neighbouring markets. A showroom or product display gallery is unheard of in Indian dental industry. This it sets us class apart from other companies. Customer experience is at the centre of Dentsply Sirona office: everything is possible, from general sales and technical trainings all the way to classic presentations for customers. The new office is equipped with Dentsply Sirona products such as: CAD/CAM Chairside and Lab side solution, Preventive, Prosthetics and Implants.
We are also looking at expanding our foot print in other metro cities; we will soon have a showroom set- up in South India as well. We already have a showroom in Mumbai to cater the customers from west and Central India.
Where do you feel us heading in coming years? And what is the situation in comparison with competitors?
In the coming years we are confident of magnifying our business outcome. We have the right range of products that cater to the needs of dentists here. We have influx of younger dental PR actioners who understand the need to adapt to new technology. Our talented employees cover each and every corner of the country. We have an extensive network of more than 100 distributors; no other company in India has this depth of product range to offer to customer. We are clearly the market leaders, and we will go many notches ahead, as the largest dental solution provider in India. We will launch products and strategies keeping customers in mind.
Do you have a message for your employees?
We are one team now. We have one common vision and should work towards achieving it with vigour and zeal. We have a large foot print in India and we should utilize this to our advantage by leveraging on each other’s strength. For example, the Prep team has a customer base of Approx. forty thousand dentists all over India. We already have these users who know about the quality and superiority of our products and services. The SBU’s can collaborate together to showcase Dentsply Sirona as a complete Dental Solution provider and pass on leads to each other. This will definitely strengthen our position in Market and generate opportunity for personal growth as well. Growth of company leads to success and prosperity of employees as well.
